Neverwinter now has open beta for those who want to try it out. Not for me but some of you may like it.

So far trying an elven trickster rogue it feels...very much like a WoW style MMO. For some that is good, for some...not so good.

I am so glad for the open beta. I've been doing testing on it for months, and am bored out of my mind with that game. Thankfully, I can stop now.

It is everything that don't like about modern sword and sorcery games. Hackx, slashx, throw same spell x100. No real thinking, nothing I enjoy about RPGs. In other words, no RP, but instead encouraging PGing.

It is a visually pretty game, with a lot of smoothness to it that one would expect in today's game, but frankly, Morrowind was better except in details of drawings. It actually had RP in single player modes.

If you like run & gun games, it's good for that, but it's not for me.

Anyone that expected to find any sort of RP in a game openly labelled as a free to play MMO had incompatible expectations in the first place :P

I hate the Dodge mechanic, primarily because the latency from Australia all but ensures you get hit even if you dodge (unless you dodge before the attack even begins)
