Current player groups? Considering new PC

Post by dergon darkhelm »

Hi guys.

Being the only remaining member of the Helm faction has gotten a bit lonely over the last few months.

So I'm toying with the notion of making a new PC.

Most importantly, I am looking for a long term player group.

Most likely going to consider something roguish this time. And also likelly non-evil.

PM me if you are looking.

as far as I know there are:

Dwarves, whom no doubt would never complain at another PC, they run thursdays each week

the wind rose adventuring company, these are a newish group though I think most are at mid level (by ALFA standards) now, and may well be a good choice, nice thing about them is they dont have any racial restrictions and like the dwarves have a weekly session (wednesdays I believe)

and finally there are the Owls, elven player group, made up of Keryn, myself, gribo, causk (when he returns) and sand if/when he plays. we play a bit more ad hoc than the others not having a set DMd night, instead taking it where we can get it :). We're always happy to have more players, and some of the awsome stuff coming in soon is elf only stuff in the same manner as felbarr is near enough dwarf only (with special exceptions).

p.s. on BG there is also the well established Swords Edge Group for good players too :)

I hope you reconsider, Dergon...Rathalan will be missed terribly :( .

But if you really want to start fresh, I'd enjoy getting some player gametime with you again on BG...Sword's Edge.

Ey Dergon looking at the times you used to play I think you'd be in good hands with we elfers, but its your choice obviously and ultimately. :)

Id agree with Keryn on that, one of my last PCs spent most of his time with Rath because we were on together so much :)

(half elf would work as well as an elf for the group, if it was preferable)

There are a number of new low level characters on TSM at this point. As for the Wind Rose, I think we're currently all in the level 3 to 4 range.

Send me a PM if you want more info on the Wind Rose.

Really?! Awesome! :)

Thanks to you all for PMs and ideas. I'm in no rush (nothing but time) sao don't expect any immediate changes, especially if there are a couple new PCs coming in. :)

Is that it for guilds/adventuring companies, etc?

Have the player's creative juices run a bit dry or is it just a lack of players/interest in player sponsored story lines?

small playerbase does that...

swords edge is around 9 players

elf group is 4-5

dwarves have i think 7-8

wind rose is i think 6-7 players

aurilians is 5 players i think

Helmites is down to 1 or 2 i believe

which covers most of our active players with a couple that arent in a group

That sucks.
But hopefully, quality of the play makes the numbers bearable. When I first transformed ALFA into my own image and likeness, creating the single most elitist gaming community in the entire world, I lifted the entire community to a higher level of excellence just by being myself.
Mayhaps there are some who can do that here now.

Wind Rose is 4 players with a few others coming along for the ride usually.

You left out the Banite group, which is still quite active, all one of me.
