Booted at login --TSM

Post by dergon darkhelm »

Finally got through getting the new files onto my new machine......

Now upon trying to login I get the initial screen and it makes it up to "waiting for Character selection"

I choose my PC, hit "start game" and immediately get "You have been booted"

this is only happening on my one machine ...can get in with the laptop fine..

Ideas?

Update:

It seems like ti is jumping past the "checking for new content" part and going straight to the character selction

so I itenetionally pulled the tsm pwc out of mydocuments ...and it still isn't checking for new content ...goes streaight to loading module

maybe I didn't get the autodowloader working right?

The ADL does not use the PWC files. Instead, it uses walkmesh files which are placed in a folder under /modules

well...

transferred all my NWN2 files from m documents on my laptop to the desktop. ((edit: that included my "modules" folder))

Now the thing goes through the motions of checking content and synching it but still getting booted

try loading the game from the launcher in your atari program files

Thanks!

but nope :(

still booted
so i figured I would try BG just for shits and giggles

started through "checking for out-of-date" content ....halted a short way in and gave this error

"Unable to dowload 'guid.GFF' from any supplied location. Pleases contact the server administrator....."

Well, the "booted" thing often means the CD Keys aren't lining up the way they used to. If you coordinate with Curmudgeon or I on IRC, we can help sort that part out.

ended up with a full uninstall and reinstall and then let the auto d/ler work.

That fixed it. :)

Thanks all!
