Looking For Group?

Post by NickD »

I'm putting out feelers for any interest in forming a regular playing group.

Preamble:
Spoiler:
As some of you may know, I'm currently already a member of a regular playing group. As at least a couple of you will know, I can be pretty exclusionary towards people who just turn up and expect to join in. There are few reasons why I prefer to only play with the members of the group during the session, which basically boil down to, "It's our group, get your own.". It's not like we've even been hogging a DM. So I figure... if there's people out there that keep attaching themselves to our sessions when we don't even have a DM, maybe I should make a side group for all these people to join in.
The Group:
There are no over-arching goals for the group. The main focus will be on exploring and hunting. I'm guessing some overlap with the Order of the Argent Owl, but without any links to higher authority. There will be some simple rules for people who want to play, the biggest one being: Do what Gruu tells you. I don't have a DM lined up.

The Players:
Best suited for non-lawful characters, rangers, druids and characters level 1-4. However, anyone is welcome to join as long as you can handle having Gruu as pack leader. Ostracision is a possibility if you don't pull your weight, break one of the rules, or screw up by fireballing the group or something. At this point, I'm not putting a limit on the number of members.

When:
Starting from next week at the earliest. Best times for me are:
NZT: Thursday 7:30pm and/or Sunday 10am (Same as Tonga time on the World Clock)
I think that translates to American west coast as:
PST: Wednesday 10:30pm and/or Saturday 1pm

Respond or PM me with interest or questions.
Current PCs:
NWN1: Soppi Widenbottle, High Priestess of Yondalla.
NWN2: Gruuhilda, Tree Hugging Half-Orc

Nah, I'll still be there. I'm looking to start a new group for a few reasons: Looking to give the people who keep asking to join our group a group they can join. Looking to take Gruu in the direction I had planned for her. And looking for some people to play with on the times I normally play anyway. You're not excluded from the group yourself.

Just to clear things up the Order of the argent owl has no links to any "superior" authority.
<Kest> "what am i running away from? i dont know but it sounds big and large!!"

Despite his best efforts to avoid it, Sywyn has been seen skulking around in the shadows, now and then. Until he's gone the way of the dodo the Owls are still hooting their (his) brains out.
<paazin> Elves I bet are kinda fun to play.
<BH|werksux> I prefer the trumpet or clarinet
<BH|werksux> elves wiggle too much
