I have just been RPing that Gaius has likely fled the Marches and returned to Waterdeep by now. Since the character is gone IC, probably what most would assume. Wanted posters were placed all over the Marches, and if he was really guilty of grave robbing, I'd say its likely he would have heeded that warning and fled with his ill gotten gains .

He got out with the clothes (and pack) on his back, and that's about it. The rest was confiscated by the Legion. This fact was made common knowledge to any who asked Lem, Mouse or Jason(?), so it shouldn't be considered meta, afaik. If the team feels otherwise, prune away.

Did this actually go down IG, or is Lem just spreading rumors and taking credit for it? Since Gaius' stealth skills were so advanced as to render him virtually invisible I'd say it would have been easy for him to evade capture, to the extent this did not take place IG of course.

The contents of his storage chest at the Lathander temple in Silverymoon were searched by the Legion in front of 3 PC's. That is what initiated the warrant. The items in the chest were confiscated by DM coverage.

An IC conclusion will be forthcoming. Holiday season is keeping the dms busy with stuff outside the game sadly.

Rather than various PC's winging it on this, perhaps we should all wait for a decision?

In any case, he was one of the three PCs who witnessed the event, which is why I stated "this fact" in my earlier post. It was played out very well by our beloved Wynna, emotions running high, drama thick enough to spread on a hotcake fresh off the griddle, and the ensuing confusion was enough to drive a Budhist monk mad. The other two PCs were AX's moderately mulched Mouse (aka. Mie'shka) and ,iirc, Jason. I was at work when I posted the above, so I didn't have time to go into detail, or I would have mentioned it.

That's Janus. And yes, the items were all confiscated and the proverbial hand in the cookie jar was in play.

The hin Rugo is now wanted for questioning regarding the disappearance of one Gaius Hammidi. The diminutive derelict is considered armed and extremely tiny.
