Honestly, I haven't paid her all that much attention....she falls well under my priority of the senate race, governorship, state supreme court, and other local elections that affect me more than the figurehead runnerup of the country. Why everyone else is paying as much attention to her, both positive and negative, is a bit beyond me other than the fact that we've never had a female in the VP seat or as some sort of sex symbol (which is a bit sad).

No, it would fall under "superstitious," at best, which is the anti-thesis of "intellectually curious."

however, most criticism so far seems unevenhanded and in fact a pounding on by people who have preconceived notions that they share anyway, stuff like "if you go to an exorcism once you're a hardcore christian fundamentalist".

More like, "if you ask to be exorcised, attend a Pentecostalist church for many years where people speak in tongues, claim you are a bible believing Christian, promote abstinence only sex Ed, claim you are a member of the terminal generation, and deny evolution, you are a hard-core Christian fundamentalist."

I think this confusion over 'witchcraft' comes from westerns association with it as opposed to the african belief of it. 'Witch doctors' are very much real. They use poisons and all sorts of mumbo jumbo. The mumbo jumbo part isn't real but the poison bit is. You guys should be arguing the morality of poisoning people and creating fear through mystisim. There has to be a reason people are arrested for shrinking penises out in 'voodoo' land.
