Zelknolf is now Tech Staff Head: NWN1 tech
As the subject line states.
Zelknolf has done a great job getting ALFA adapted over to the 1.69 patch, and providing continuing technically support in the NWN1 arena. I apologize for the delay in formalizing this position, been pretty busy of late.
I believe Zelknolf has a number of improvements on the menu for our NWN1 servers, so hopefully this will help facilitate such work. It is my hope that, with good communication and consensus between NWN1 staff head and our NWN1 HDMs, we can see a number of long-awaited improvements make their way out into the Live servers soon.
Thanks again to Zelknolf for all the hard work.

Gratz ...
so lets say I closed an area I was working on...during the save area step... it had some kind of access violation (too quick for me to see where) and the toolset had to be shutdown via the "we had an error, would you like to send a report" BS.
When I finally got the area open again, I assume everything is okay...just that nothing I had done for the last 20 mins was gone ...
I delete a couple placeables thinking maybe I had too many in the area...
and log in via DM client to the new lesser placeable area ... it hangs up on the load screen (just like if the haks were messed up) all other areas in the base mod are fine ...
I go delete a TON of placeables saving a non-placeable genocide version of the area ....
log in and get past load screen in 3-5 secs ... locks up
now it always locks up either at the end of the load screen or a couple secs after loading is complete...
Where should I be looking for a fix...
The area has had a build...nothing in there ... I was only messing with placeables ... so I don't "think" its a tile conflict ...

oh and,
get back to work !!

Thanks for the help *crosses fingers* I hope it works and I don't have to start over, this will certainly teach me to make a "back-up" at least once in a while.

Raise / lower fixed it, I guess I just needed to mess with more tiles than I tried the first time...

Sweet deal nolf! Now you get to use the corporate jet!
Congrats, and sincere thanks for continuing to shoulder so much of the technical burden it takes to enjoy our nerdly past-time.

I've just moved a copy of the NWN1 1.69 basemod Zelknolf put up (hope I got the right one, and thanks to Zelknolf for the upload) onto the "public" FTP server.
should be downloadable with "save as" on this link:
