The Loot Issue - and don't lock it
This is a very valid point and I would like to discuss it further.
I am working on quests and various other means for PC's to earn gold. Some should be implemented when there are updates.
I welcome suggestions on other means to acquire wealth at a reasonable level.
Thank you.

Something, anything that requires meaningful effort that has a low chance of bringing you into combat.
Apart from the very first exploration static from the Marshall, all the other Rivermoot statics are either directly combat or have a very good chance of it. Even just one or two things so those far less combat inclined or weak (thinking squishys here) still have options.

I have no problem with this discussions as long as it stay civil.
The two big considerations to keep in mind are:
1. We're in week 2 and are fine-tuning all of the systems as we go.
2. The primary plot that I've been involved with has been the crypt plot and, as mentioned earlier, the undead are notoriously poor.
As Rick posted, we are open to ideas (reasonable) of how to keep players above the poverty line.

Three ideas, that i know worked in NWN1 on ALFA, dont know how hard they would be to implement in NWN2.
[Occured in Shadowdale] repeatable long range supply run quests to and from rauvinwatch or silverymoon to rivermoot make a lot of IC sense, little to no XP is fine, and with a 20-30gp for the trip would make it nice.
The roads are mostly safe right now, so more would be overdoing it, but less would be rough since i have actually seen a few PC corpses along the way.
Similar quests were in Shadowdale in ALFA1, and did a lot to get PCs out in groups on those patrols.
[Occured in Shadowdale] Randomly placed items of value that are naturally occuring and can be turned into certain NPCs in exchange for coin. Such as fallen bird feathers (spell components to a wizard NPC), arrow tips in war zones around orcs and goblins and such (supplies to military), and herbs and vegitation occuring naturally (herbalist NPC). Could be spawned about places and each item turned in for 1-3 gp a peice. Ideally with most PCs finding between 4 and 10 of these items in an hour of exploration. Best to have them spawn away from roads, to encourage further grouping and provide a risk to aquiring the coin outside of walking around safe areas for hours.
[Occured in Daggerford] Similar to the above, creatures such as deer and rabbits could drop hides that could be sold to NPC leatherworkers for 2-5gp a peice.
EDIT:
If all 3 of these were in, with current spawn rates of deer and rabbits ive seen, I think one could make about 40-90 gold in an hour, if they were focusing on those three things at once and, and noone else had been by the same areas anytime recently, and they were soloing. This is not an excessive amount, and it wouldnt be hard to notice someone PGing them.

We also have to keep in mind that before we can introduce new content we have to be sure that the old content is working properly. From the number of issues we've seen on bugged quest reports etc., there is a way to go in getting current content up to par.
It'll take some time to work out these issues and we appreciate your patience.

Amar, number 3 is apparently already in place, as I encountered a hunter in game selling animal hides.
I'm a big fan of SD's and Daggerford's old IC repeatable quests. The Marshall one shots are great for getting out of the level 1 doldrums, but after that there's nothing to do except to risk death farming monsters, or chat, or fight each other.... I won't do the first or last so that leaves only chat. IC repeatable statics give you both something to do in party and give some reasonable gp income.

I have 5 quests currently in the stages of implementing.
3 are ready now and I will update ASAP and two more are coming.
The three are supply run quests from Rauvinwatch Keep, I have fully tested them and the scripts and conversations work. There may be a few goofs when they go in, such as an AT not working or an NPC missing a dialog. I'll need the full mod to ensure they work.
The other two are Daggerford type patrol quests open to everyone from Silverguard fortress.
The supply run are typically non-combat unless you run into something, so you should go in a group where possible.
The patrol quests the same, they are reasonable and low combat.
More will be deisnged, I have a lot of ideas for other quests.
As well, there will be quests in the Wendover ruins and the Silverymoon catacombs which are combat related. I am fixing those up now. I just finished the Wendover crypt rough interior last night. I'll think you'll have fun with these.
We have a bit of a logistic issue with getting updates due to the size of the mod, hopefully we can solve it

I remember small static about unloading cargo. It goes like this, PC picks a crate from point A and need to bring it to point B (which is somewhere close). Trick is that crates are heavy (around 80lbs) so only the strongest of PCs can hope not to be overburdened while doing this static. After PC carries around ten crates, as reward, PC receives around 10 gp and no XP (or perhaps some symbolic amount like 5 XP), and quest can be repeated again at certain time period (at least one full IG day). Static could be obtainable at the docks of Rivermoot and Silverymoon. This could be fine non-combat repeatable static, suitable for wide range of PC concepts, for restocking healing potions on a bit more regular basis.

Thank you to the TSM DM team for responding to our questions and concerns. From my perspective, you can take all the time you need to get whatever you need to get working, working. When I posted, it was just to let you all know what was going on in game. I don't need a 1000 gp tomorrow, or the next day, or even next week. As I believe I have told each of you, probably more than once, I love the server, I am extremely happy with the game, and I have not been this excited about playing in ALFA in a long time. The DMA's attempt to cast our posts as some sort of unjust whining is really, well, its just not the case. I love the server, and I think the DM team has been doing an phenomenal job. Thank you.
