Silverymoon City

Post by Swift »

Do we have any idea when the city will be more functional? At this stage most buildings cannot be entered (not even a tavern, the horror!), and those that can have broken ATs that don't let you back out (Veilan and Paazan are both trapped in the Silvy Fort on the south side of town and will need DM assistance to escape).

With at least the Aussie/Kiwi group basing ourselves here, will it be ready soon? Or are we best moving to High Hold for a little while?

Indeed, abducted by the guards, hmpf... so much for law and order in the marches!

I'll let others who are more familiar with the mod give a fuller sense of the area, but in terms of server development, we seem to be working west to east in terms of providing the sorts of features that support optimal playability.

Yep, there is a lot undone.

Even though angel_caller has quit ALFA he promised Bright Blades shortly for a bar.

House Invincible is coming.

Silverguard Fortres and its patrol quests are coming.

Argent Legion patrol quests are coming.

Catacombs are coming and the querst there is coming.

Palace is coming.

Constabulatory quests are coming.

Star Court is coming

Oghma temple is coming

Temple of Tyr is coming

Temple of Tempus is coming.

and the list goes on.

One of the issues is getting ahold of the mod and doing proper testing.

The mod is almost 2 gigs, a couple hours or more just to load on the ftp. So, it takes a lot of time just to get an updated version.

We have designed and redesigned SM to cut down on lag. That was the priority.

I just finished the Red Knight temple for HH, so tonight I'll test it.

Indio is building/HDM'ing, so his time is limited. He has to also make custom armor. I have sent him some updates, we are working on it.

Meanwhile AL does tonnes of unseen changes under the hood.

Toolset is very complex and we learn the hard way that what you think might be simple, such as setting up an AT, isn't like it was in the old days.

Yeah, High Hold would be a good place to hold out for now.

Give us a day or two. I've got some time today.

Will the temple to Red Knight recognize characters of that deity? Perhaps offer lodging or something?

Just wondering if it is feasible for a character or three to base from it. ;)

No lodging. It is a smal temple. However, I just tested it, and it will recognize followers of the Red Knights and bring up a store with lots of Red Knight goodies!

Is it possible to change a PCs deity after creation? As many know, my PC has converted/been drawn into the Red Knigt's servants, the Red Falcons, and now claims Red Knight as her patron (though she still reveres and honors her first patron - but she has moved on and grown up now, or so she thinks). I know this has nothing to do with this thread, but the Red Knight temple thing raised the question for me, since my PC is now one of the Red Knight's knights, but her deity field does not reflect that. Anyway, thanks in advance to whoever can answer the question.
