AcadiusLost is earning in my mind about as much respect as I've ever had for anyone in ALFA, so tirelessly and selflessly does he go about helping us. He's now helping organise a new host, another ALFA champion, Donrath.
Now until that happens, until Donrath is set up and hosting the mod, combat is potentially disastrous if lag strikes. With luck it will be this weekend, as AL has just stated in his post.
So my advice is this....take quests that don't involve combat unless there are only a few players on. Keep out of harm's way altogether if there are 10+ players on. Of course, you can do whatever you choose. But death from lag is a pain for both players and DMs alike, and is best avoided altogether.

Is it purely the number of people combined with the connection to the server? Or would it have something to do with graphics levels as well?
As ive posted earlier, i have the graphics cranked pretty high, and it runs smooth, but as soon as i enter combat, it gets laggy as crazy, mobs start skipping and warping about etc etc.
Wondering whether detail levels had anything to do with it.
