I'm back!

Post by Lord Kilburn »

RL got real busy for me. But I'm back and if I can find my NWN2 discs I'll reinstall. I'm really impressed by the work done on the new servers. I have a few questions though:

1. I completed the OAS in ALFA1, will I have to do it for 2?
2. Do any of the servers require MotB?
3. Where's a good place to start playing?

Thanks all.

Members are accepted once. You don't lose your membership because a new plataform is out.

There are 2 servers in beta. TSM and the OAS2. I think they both got updated. I'm sure about the OAS.

There's no live NWN2 server yet, and there won't be one at least until christmas or january. You are, of course, welcome to help beta test or play in one of the remaining NWN1 servers, Shadowdale being the most active.

I thought we sold Delaware to New jersey? :?

or at least Baltimore (tried the same thing with Cincinati, with rerouting the Ohio and all...)

Word, and welcome back. OAS2 has been updatyed to MoTB...better to go ahead and grab that one up, as I hear it makes the system run smoother with easier code...The OAS2 is open for testing by members, so jump on in once you have MoTB and take a look around.

I'm callin' this one debateable. Sembia gets players on it about as often and in as large of numbers as Shadowdale lately, and NC/AC isn't far behind. Seems the player population steadily diffused over the surrounding area after the war on SD finished.

Sembia works more like a campaign server and there's little going on outside DM scheduled times though. NC/AC seems to be on the same scheme, which isn't bad by itself. Just makes it harder for random RP sugar. Shadowdale seems to have the most active players, at least on the times I check Gamespy. Experiences may vary of course.

Welcome back!

To clarify, there is no ALFA 1 or 2. If you are an ALFA member you can play in NWN1 or 2 at will, and characters in both platforms. NWN2 is still in beta stage though so enjoy the free twinking by DMs while you can. ;)
