Its good to know what complete asshole we have running this place anymore. Fluff as leader of ALFA you yourself should at least refrain from making comments like that. You might not like what he said or you might not like religion yourself, but your our figurehead here and you look like a complete idiot saying that. I could care less about the religious aspects of his life, but grow up, O' Grand Pooh-Bah.

One thing people of all faiths or lack thereof can agree on is that Falwell was a colossal douchebag, and the world is better today than it was yesterday.

Falwell did a lot of things i dont agree with, but he also has done a lot of good in his life as well. His college is a top notch school and they even have decent athletics programs.

If I set up a really good school to teach other liberal, freedom-hating, arab-sympathising, wet Europeans to - I don't know - throw the discus in a first rate fashion, does that mean I can call Americans evil imperialist shitbags who will burn in hell for their godlessness?

Or would I just be a total prick?

Fallwell was a fuck. I'm glad he's dead. In a different time and country he'd be at the top of a theocratic police state with countless heretics dead under its boot, or wish he was. Its a testament to the strength of this country and its founding principles of personal liberty that he was merely the head of "religious" money-making organization that borders on larcenous.

His university also teaches creationism, is consistently on the bottom of most rankings, and the school seal is--no joke--a burning book with the motto "Knowledge aflame". Gotta work those in somehow. They also literally do not have admissions standards. No essay, they don't look at grades, they don't take your SAT/ACT scores.

Fun fact about Falwell's school: roughly 150 of its graduates work for the Bush admin. Ideology over competence; gotta love it.
