Hi everyone,
Thanks for accepting my application!
I'm reading through the ton of interesting material to try and figure out where to begin in this world.
For someone who doesn't know a lot about all the different cultures (of the races, or how they are portrayed) do you have suggestions of where (on the map and which server) to start?

Welcome to ALFA.
One of the most important considerations in choosing a server - as well as the location and type of PC you'd like to play - is the dominant timezone; different servers tend to be active at different times, so check out the server forums or pop into chat to see where you're most likely to fit in.

Hey, Soorees! Jayde Moon here, wow, from sloan berries to full on app acceptance, I knew you'd be a member pretty quickly!
Hit up the next RP101 when they have it, it's a lot of fun and full of good information.
Some servers to consider are Daggerdale, Sembia, and Shadowdale...
Underdark if you are into evul elves and all...
Don't know what other servers actually have good player bases on them...
I'll give you the skinny on any of those servers, if you ask.
Don't get discouraged if you go through a few PCs, ALFA's servers can be dangerous and the whole perma-death is a tough one to overcome, but once you get in the groove, it's gonna be great!
