PC - Epilogue - Unia Thielle

Post by LifeLikeSage »

-=BACKGROUND=-
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unia was a high elf born in the High Forest east of Waterdeep. From a young age, Unia was distinct from other elves, mainly in that she, unlike her other kin, did not have an air of superiority over the other races (like humans).
Unia spent her early years within the High Forest worrying about the welfare of animal and sentient being alike. Throughout her entire life, she faced light ridicule from other elves due to her affinity for beings outside of fey-kind.
Within her first century of life, Unia encountered a band of adventurers that consisted of Third Circle Knights, and with them, an Ilmateri healer. The Ilmateri healer had kind eyes and seemed to notice Unia almost instantly. Unia was approached by the Ilmateri healer and a conversation ensued. After hours of talking, the Ilmateri healer revealed to the stories of Ilmater and his compassion. Unia, who was greatly moved by this, didn't even bother asking the race of the hero, and instead became instantly enamored with the stories and lifestyle.
After the Third Circle party left the High Forest, Unia was left to contemplate for a long period of time (as elves often have over humans).
After her contemplation, Unia decided that she would leave the High Forest and leave in search of where should could perform such miracles.

Unia arrived at Luruar and eventually found an experienced cleric of Ilmater, who taught her the basics of her faith. Over many years, Unia learned basic blessings and was able to restore minor wounds. Although this was indeed a minor miracle, it left an impression on her that gave her hopes to become a great healer some day. Unia had heard countless stories of great suffering and was determined to be able to bring back the dead that had been wrongfully slain who still had others left behind that would suffer in the wake of their absence.

Unia eventually made her way to Waterdeep and joined the knights of the Third Circle. Once a part of the group, Unia served as a healer for adventuring parties venturing into the sewers of Waterdeep. She rescued numberous children from the sewers and brought back blackened crystallized hearts to the knights of the Third Circle to be dealt with accordingly.
As Unia grew in power, as did her healing blessings, and eventually Unia's goal to be able to resurrect the dead became a close goal as she approached a higher level of power.

Unia's journey was eventually cut short when she was faced with a dead adventurer that she wanted to return from the dead. Unia expected one of two outcomes. First, that her prayers would be answered and that the poor soul would be brought back to life. Second, that the prayers would go unanswered.
What she did not expect, was for her prayers to be answered, but for her lord Ilmater to take her into his ranks in the afterlife.
A beam of light took Unia upwards, away from her mortal coil and into the afterlife in the plane of the House of the Triad.
Unia's dream was fulfilled, even though she was only able to do it once.
