The light of the moon outlines two familiar figures in the doorway, a tall, thin elf with whose luminescent skin seems to glow under Selune's rays, and a large, shaggy wolf whose eyes catch and hold the light of the dying campfire. After speaking a few words quietly to the wolf, Alendir moves inside the tree home, silently shutting the door behind him. Quickly shedding his armor, Alendir crouches by the fire, stocking it with wood enough to last the cold night. He stares into the flames for a few minutes, lighting a stick of incense which he holds in his hands. When the sweet smelling herb has burnt, the words of a brief prayer of thanks are audible, and the weary druid comes to bed. He smells of the pine forest and the dust of the road, his skin cold but quickly warming. He gently kisses Ahleera's neck and wraps her in a secure embrace, whispering in elven, "All is well, my love". As he drifts into Reverie, his breathing slows and deepens, and soon all is still in Alendir's home, save for the fire, crackling its deepest content.
