Little Lucky

Post by Rumple C »

Little lucky was little and lucky. Always had been since birth when she was dropped by the mid wife. Landed on the bloodied swadling cloth. "That was lucky" remarked all and indeed it was. For a landing on hardwood floors would likely have been certain death to a infant still drawing its first chilling ragged breaths.

At two years old she was mauled by a pack of stray dogs. She was saved only by her Pa rushing to her rescue and beating the dogs off. Infection set in soon after and for months she was on deaths door. When she finally came right, scarred body and twisted arm it was pronounced "Tymora has her eye on this one, lucky to be alive she is".

Those who would later inquire as to her childhood would have their attention drawn to the near drowning death at seven, the red fever at twelve, accidental horse tramping at fifteen, and misscariage at ninteen. "Oh yes" the villagers all said making signs of homage to Tymora.
