Departure
Rising from his chair he nodded to the black clad man sitting to his right. I will see you soon mate, I have some personal matters to attend to.*his voice calm as always* damm, my love.. im sorry.. this took more time then I expected.. I hope I will be there in time. . *his thoughts drifted to the woman he left a month ago in the deep.. it brought forth a feeling of sadness and longing at the same time. Yet there was the fear as well..he shook it off as he pushed the chair back*
The man nodded once, never being one of many words, yet as Esschen open the door he spoke with amusement in his voice “Have a good journey and give my regards to your sister he said with a wry smile on his face.”
Esschen just nodded as he turned.

He walked upstairs to his room in the dragon. As he passed the second room he glanced at the door. *our talk isn’t finished…my shadow. The training is done and thus ends the deal to hold personal matters, now we will see what remains of the feelings and if the past will be the past.* as his mind drifted to think about the deadly.. woman he felt guilt…it hit him hard. He swallowed *No he thought, there is a reason to it all, feel the guilt.. the pain..the sorrow..it came with the choice..*

Gathering his things from his room he glanced around one time to see if he missed anything. His eyes fall on the almost empty bottle of milk standing on the cabinet, with a sigh he turns and walks out towards High Horn gate. *He would see to her when he would return, now wasnt the time*

Fears of the mind
The journey to the Balduran was uneventful.. a couple of gnolls waiting for unsuspecting travellers.. a wolf.. a bear they didn’t see the shadow moving past them with haste.. Neither did Esschen pay much heed to them. He had two things on his mind. Getting to the Deep as fast as he could and pray the visions he had seen in Selgaunt, were nothing more then figments of his imagination. *yet he felt the cold fear of them being true... as if it held him by the throat…like a slow tightening noose*

As the ship rocked on the waves he lay down on the bed, trying to get some rest…his mind didn’t grant him that.
*You left her when you feared the visions be true. To be with her…your skin your flesh as you describe her. Tthe voice in his head sounded cold bitter. He knew it wasn’t true, yet some how it was as he felt it. He knew he had left at the time she needed him most. Even if she had not been with child, he was testing her patience…her sanity.. being so close to labor..must have made it worse.. *pain…guilt.. he cursed himself silently for his blindness*. Did he wish to risk it all.. was it not already lost.. He did not dare to think about it. Again the cold bitter voice taunting him *lost…sorrow.. your path.. its inevitable accept it.* He cursed the voice.. a sigh of relief coming from his mouth as he heard the crew prepare for docking.

He entered the dark halls quietly. Not bothering to change into the robes he was supposed to wear when being in her place of worship.
He listened *chanting…he didn’t recognize the language..but it was familiar. Where they praying? No it came from the pool it seemed.*

Esschen entered the room noting the shadows and the faithful standing to the side. For a brief moment fear gripped his heart as he saw the shadows.. * No..not blackskinned demons...different* .
His gaze drifted towards the pool. The highpriest was standing in the water speaking something to her. He looked at her "Push said the priest"

A primal scream filled the room *the so familiar voice…he felt her pain..frustration…her loss… Just in time he thought…..or *Fear* too late. He pushed the thoughts away..* As the female priest ordered him to bring the child to the altar.
