Juylina Fiirhallen - Past, Present and Future

Post by Xerah »

Juylina carries quite the presence as she enters a room. From her stunning, shoulder length, red hair to the various red and black skimpy clothing she outfits herself in, most males cannot help but stare and it is clear that she doesn't mind the attention.

Her skin is quite tanned but not overly so to make her appear sick. Her eyes are a deep sky blue. She has a slim, but fit build and is appropriately (but not overly) gifted in all the right areas of her body.

Her voice always carries a seductive tone and her body language is always positive as she often touches people and leans forward. It is possible that she doesn't mean to sound that way or mean to present herself in such an alluring manner, but with a woman of her presence, it is more likely that she well aware of her tone and body language at all times.

Image

The following is her account of her past, present and future.

Dreaming – The Past

Shapes -- hundreds of them -- each more fascinating then the previous. I see it all. The red face of the mask…no, that’s his face. God! It’s melting! Eww! The face fades away. Relief – for a second.

An Orc! What is an orc doing at Daddy’s party? He’s got a sword! Scream Juylina, get help! Nothing come sout! He’s going to kill me! Run!

What’s that behind me? What did I just run into? It’s…a….dragon…! Where did that come from! It’s red. Why is everything red? Its mouth is opening…he’s going to eat me. It’s teeth are red too – blood from another meal! I won’t be next!

Run! I’m not stopping…wait, I lie…The door. Where did it go? No, it has to be there Juylina. Look harder. Is that an opening? Put your hand in and find out…

It bit me! What was that? I don’t care. Just get out of the house.

I’m in the street now. Why am I standing in a pool of red? Why is everything still red…

The images are fading - breaking down into their basic shapes. Buildings no more – only squares and rectangles. I need to get out of this city.

Run, Juylina run!

No going back now…find safety. Mother says strength is in the moon. I see a crescent shape. It’s on a field of triangles. They’re coming towards me…they scare me – no, they stop before they hit me. The moon is my safety. I’ll sleep on the moon. I’ll be safe.

~*~

Men yelling. Rocking back and forth. I can’t take his…

The mist is my escape…The mist is my escape…the…mist…is…my….escape…

~*~

Too many visuals…it needs to end...stop, please….

AWAKE!

Juylina’s Journal – The Present
Juylina Fiirhallen wrote:Day 1 – Awaking

I’m at a loss to what happened last night. It’s all just broken memories like a vivid dream that I’m trying desperately hard to seize. Maybe I’ll find out if I ever get back home…right, home.

When I awoke last night, I found myself outside the City of Splendors. It was not a pretty sight -my hair was a mess, clothes were tattered and I had the worse headache I’ve ever had. I really wish I could remember what happened at the Masquerade.

Maybe, for now, it is better that I stay away from home. A girl can really lose herself in this city.

And it didn’t take me long to lose myself either. Well, it wasn’t my fault though! I certainly couldn’t go around looking like some street girl. All I needed to find was a bathhouse and clothing shop.

But, of course, that didn’t work out too well. I found myself in a place called the Dock Wards. It turns out that’s not a nice place to go, especially at night. Not even the guards could guide me the ‘cause they were too busy on their watch.

Well, it only got worse from there. I saw this creepy looking orc in the shadows and before I knew it, he started running straight at me with a dagger. What could I do…I just froze. But, there was another man behind me and the two fought while I just stood there…

The orc managed to slit the man’s throat, I personally thought the technique was a bit crude, but what can you expect from an orc? It still wasn’t over. He wiped the man’s blood from his face and smiled to me. Eww! This breath was awful and his teeth were just…well, most of them were missing.

“Youz gib mez goldz and Iz leb youz alone.”

I tried to give him gold, I really did. But, I couldn’t find my purse quick enough! He didn’t even give me a minute. Before I knew, he was raising his dagger and driving it into my arm as I tried to shield my face. Finally, he got a hit in my chest and I collapsed to the ground. I must admit, with the heavy pounding of my heart, the cuts on my arm were quite euphoric.

The next morning, I woke up in a small puddle of my own blood. My clothes and hair were even worse than the day before.

At least, I now know to stay out of there. For a while anyway…

Night of the Masquerade – The Past

The Annual Fiirhallen Masquerade was always Juylina’s favorite time of year. As much as she loved being the center of attention, it was good for one, just one, night to be able to sit back and watch others. It was also a time when should could be whatever she wanted. This year she chose a cat.

Perhaps a bit Sharessian for her, but she still liked the idea of a cat. They are graceful and stylish animals who scream of confidence. Deep below the surface were its hidden dangers, ever sharp claws and pointed teeth. In a way, Juylina was a cat.

For the Masquerade, she wore a black one piece body suit and covered her face with a black hand held cat mask. As usually, she wore it very well, although it covered up much more than the things she normally would wear. It didn’t matter though, her father’s friend often brought very scantly clad women as dates and she certainly did not want to be mistaken for one of ‘those’.

~*~

The Masquerade was almost half over and Juylina had already had three glasses of red wine. There were so many vibrant costumes, one man came dressed as an orc another wore a energetic mask of a red dragon. It was all quite lovely and exciting.

Juylina felt a tap on her shoulder, so she spun around. “I hear it is bad luck when a black cat crosses one’s path,” the slightly overweight man grinned though his alluring voice.

“I know you,” she bit her lip and reached out to his arm to brace herself from falling, “You’re one of Daddy’s friends.”

“Careful,” he said calmly as he reached around the mask and brushed a few of her red locks from eye, “We don’t want you getting hurt. We’ve met a few times before. Do you remember my name?”

Juylina shook her head no, still holding onto the man’s arm.

“I am Lord Vincent Tethbrin,” he whispered with a smile.

“You’re nice…” she whispered back and spilt a drop of wine to the carpet in her inebriated state.

“Heavens,” he gasped looking down at the now stained carpet, “Here, let me take you upstairs to sit down for a moment. I have something up there that will clear your mind.”

Juylina nodded and followed the man as they left the area of the party.

~*~

“Take a seat, darling,” he guided her down to sit on the edge of her bed, “Let me get the door, the racket from downstairs is ever so loud.”

Tightly, she forced her eyes shut, “You said something about clearing my mind? I think I had too much already...”

“Oh, yes, truly I do.” He took a cup of water from the side of her bed and dropped a small object it, “Just a moment while it heats.” He flashed a supportive smile to her while he summoned a small catnip to heat the water. “Breathe this in, don’t worry, you’ll be fine in just a few moments.”

Juylina leaned in without question and took a deep breath…Almost instantly, her clouded mind vanished however, images all around her were become more vibrant than she had ever seen before.

“Rumor on the street has it that you have quite the reputation. Don’t worry darling, the mist is your escape...”

Juylina’s Journal – The Present
Juylina Fiirhallen wrote:Day 2 – Heroes of Waterdeep.

After my encounter with the thugs on the street, battered, bruised and cut, I made my way though the streets of Waterdeep looking for anyone who would help. There were so many uncaring people on the street…the guards were too busy, the citizens didn’t care and others just looked at me like I was an easy mark.

I couldn’t go on any longer, so I collapsed inside a nearby store. Luckily for me, I fell right in front of a man who was more than happy to help me. He took me outside to his friend, a cleric of Torm, who was also more than happy to help. I never did learn their name though.

The two of them took me to a nearby Inn called ‘Safehaven’. That was when I first met Cond and Zaa.

Cond is really nice. I like Cond. He bought me wine and actually listened, instead of staring, when I told him my story. That was a nice change. Then he took me to get cleaned up and shopping, both of which was desperately needed. They’ll be much more to write of this story.

As for Zaa, well, when Cond went to change, he came down and sat right beside me! He never even asked if the seat was taken, he just sat there and smiled at me like I was supposed to be ecstatic that he even acknowledged my presence. How cocky it that? Well, maybe that nice for a change. He’s looking for people to work for him…I’ve never had a job before though, but it’s shopping and socializing, how hard can that be?

Anyway, I think I’ll have fun with these two.

Juylina Fiirhallen wrote: Day 3 – Howls in the Night

It’s getting increasingly difficult to sleep at night in the city. Ravenous beasts prowl though the streets and their howls echo throughout the Safehaven Inn. I’ve taken to spending the night around the fire and sleeping during the early morning once the shrieking in the streets stops. I don’t enjoy the morning anyway as it’s far easier to be sociable during the afternoon and night.

No only do the howls plague the night, but they go hand and hand with the screams from the unfortunates who live on the street and those foolish enough to brave the darkness. Then, come morning, numerous bodies fill the streets. It’s quite a sad sight, it must be painful for many to witness. The bodies are just grim representations of the soul who once filled the empty shell with life. They don’t fill the streets for long, the Watch carts them away at daybreak. I’m pleased that my sleep schedule allows me to miss the early morning sights.

However, I can’t help but long for the feelings of ecstasy that they experienced before they were killed.

~*~

I meet a gnome for the first time last night. He was rather interesting. Well, from what I’ve heard, all gnomes are interesting in their own way. This one was no different. I was surprised to hear that he was a Helmite, although he certainly dressed the part.

He seemed quite interested in my well being. That was nice. Pity he is a gnome though, I wouldn’t know the first thing about what to do with him. Then again, aren’t all men the same?

~*~

My long nights give me a chance to think about Daddy and the Masquerade. As much as it pains me to remember back, I do get a slight feeling of exhilaration when I think about the mist…I think I lust for those overwhelming feelings once again. I think I know who can get me some…

Juylina’s Journal – The Present
Juylina Fiirhallen wrote:Day 4 – Working Girl

I finally got my first ever job today, four of them actually. I’ve been given a couple of tasks by smeo of the locals and two from Zaa. Nothing too glamorous, but I get paid at least and I’ll get to prove to Daddy that I can make it without him!

On the most important side of things, I did notice some strange things between Zaa and the Lady Lord Captain of the Waterdeeo Watch. First, it seems that she owns at “Drow” body guard (Drow are dark skinned, evil, underdark elves that are usually killed on sight). So, that’s kind of odd for someone in her position.

Secondly, the woman’s bodyguard almost killed Zaa..for a reason that was never mentioned. The woman was very angry that he when to the authorities instead of her because that means there is going to be a trial regarding the Drow…or something like that. It sounds all too complicated for me to think about.

The confrontation between the two was quite interesting. Despite all her yelling, she kept her composure and did not chop though me and the bard to get to Zaa. I guess we were lucky that she had to keep up an appearance, or we could have all been killed.

On the lighter side, I also found out that Zaa has a liking of Sunite rituals as he’s often roaming the streets completely naked. That shall be useful to keep in mind for the future.

I guess that’s all for now.

Juylina’s Journal – The Present
Juylina Fiirhallen wrote:Day 15 – New Friends

Fifteen days…it doesn’t seem like I’ve only been here for just over a fortnight. Perhaps it’s because I’m having so much fun finally being on my own and independent. As much as I love Daddy, it’s good to finally get away.

As I wrote last time, I’m finally working. I think I’m finally beginning to get my name out there in the city, which is a good thing I hope! In a week or so, I’m looking at putting on a fashion show to highlight Zaa’s line of suits and I think I might as well use that show to model some of my own things. It should be well attended, so, anything to get my face out there.

There was a bit of talk about holding the show at a noble’s house, but I have yet to hear from Zaa about its status. Just incase, I’ve found a backup venue at a night club in the Trade Ward. It really is perfect, great lighting, a nice stage, plenty of seating and room in back to change. I was thinking of an early evening show, followed by a free glass of wine after the event. Surely, with the business overflow from the show, the owner would agree to that. I’m so excited!

Oh! I almost forgot! A few days ago, I meet a beautiful woman who was dressed in the most exquisite dress I’ve ever seen. She told me her name was “Dice” (although, it feels kind of strange to call one of her presence anything less than Lady) and seemed quite excited about my fashion show. I think she might even help me with some of the costs.

After I’m done with this fashion show, I’d like to continue on this party planning. It’s just so fun!

~*~

I really hope this fashion business of mine takes off. I’ve come up with a nice idea of what to do with the coin. When I get enough, I’ll rent out a building and open it up to those girls who have had run-ins like the one I had with Daddy’s friend. It’ll get them off the street and give them a warm place for food and rest. Surely, something like this is needed in the City. I fear to think how many girls are violated each night. And I bet I’d have no problem finding people willing to contribute.

There is so much more to write about this place, but I’ll save it for later.

~*~

Now, more importantly, I’ve meet two others who I just love to death, Sara and Aleena. These two are Banites, which, Sara told me, means they are followers of the God of Hate, Fear and Tyranny. They are both so nice; it’s hard to believe they are what they say. I certainly don’t feel anything but a warm love from them, definitely not hate or fear.

Aleena seems to have such a sad story. Her child is back at home, but I’m not sure who he’s with. I guess leaving him out of this city is the right thing to do. Hopefully, he’ll be alright and by the way she watches Sara, I’m have no doubts. It’s kind of funny with those two, to see a woman be the body guard of another who is almost a full foot taller.

And then there is Sara, as beautiful as she is tall. She’s quickly becoming a huge part of my life here. From, enjoying a bottle of red at the Dagger, to fashion advice, to the feeling that she’s watching out for me, she’s involved in all of it. It’s a nice feeling, almost like the sensation that being around Daddy gives me. I guess I just like to have the feeling of protection and a strong presence around me.

~*~

One last thing, I’m getting worried about Cond. I haven’t seen him in about a week. Hopefully, nothing unfortunate has happened.

Epiphany: Part I – The Past

A pretty young red haired girl started out the window of her room at the setting sun. She sighs longingly as she looks back into her elegantly decorated room, from her red laced canopy bed, to her body sized Sunite mirror to her hand carven hope chest. Her room was amazing, exactly what any seventeen year old girl would want and yet, her sigh seemed to send a wave of despair though the room.

“Juylina! Tonight’s a full moon. I’m leaving soon so you better be ready,” called out a soft sounding woman’s voice from behind the door to Juylina’s room.

“Mother, I don’t care. Grand Revel is two day and I’m still not ready.”

“You have lots of time to get ready. Let me in, I’ll help you get ready,” the chipper voice continued to echo into the room.

Juylina sighed audibly, “Mom, just go away.”

“I just though it would be a way to get you out of the house and something we could do together…but, just…never mind Juylina, forget I asked.”

The teenager just rolled her eyes and crawled into bed. “God, why is she always like that?” She stared into her large mirror for a few minutes in silence. “I remember when I used to be so excited about any Sunite party…and now…what’s wrong with me?” A frown crossed her face before she turned to burry herself in her pillow.

It is very inspiring to see players on Waterdeep or any server take the time to piece out what happens/or has happened throughout their lives. I love your work. Cheers *raises wine glass*

Epiphany: Part II - The Past

Juylina takes one last look at herself in the body mirror. A fresh faced eighteen year old girl stares back with a smile though her curly, not straight, red hair. Tonight is a special night, it's the first time she been given permission to go to a Grand Revel alone and her clothing is one way to show her independence. With her black thigh high boots, two red bandanna tied around her hips and red shirt with black trim cut down the middle and held in place with a short chain between each side, it's clear that she's on her way to a Sunite party. Daddy would most likely not approve.

"You know Juylina," the voice of her father called from behind, "I'd like you to go with your mother next time she goes to one of her Selune nights."

The girl stays quiet for a few moments, "Alright Daddy, if you want me to, I will for you." She slides her head back and beams a smile at him.

"She'll be delighted to hear that Juylina. Now, I want you to be careful tonight."

"Daddy," she rolls her eyes, "I'm eighteen. I can handle myself. 'sides, there are going to be some women with much less on than this."

Her father gives a supporting smile in return, "I know Juylina. I just worry. It seems like just yesterday was your thirteenth birthday," he sighs, "You're growing up so quickly and what a beautiful woman you've become."

Juylina giggles, "Thanks Daddy!" She skiped over to kiss him on the cheek before she rushed out the door.

"...Be careful, Juylina."

Epiphy: Part II Interlude - The Past

About an hour after Juylina left the house, her father stood in the darkness of the back yard with a dimly lit lantern. He looked impatient as he glanced around the yard in the eerily quiet night.

"You have something for me?" a man's voice called from the shadows.

He raised the lantern towards the shadow but he was too far away. "Aye, I need you to watch my daughter. She's at the Sunite party."

"As you command, My Lord."
