As We Walk Along the Golden Way

Post by Charlie »

Just something I work on on occasion. It's self explanitory.

Image
Mine twins slice through the abyssal,
A crackle of magic in steel,
As ash on the wind it’s twisted form,
Great mountain of cruelty felled,
Ebon filth spills on,
But the way is not yet clear,
Unchecked rage runs free, and I howl.
Rage and fury, red and silent.
Never yielding, life burns full as I turn to another,

By my will I strike through, true, and thrice,
A tempest of wrath,
No wicked thing will live,
Ever forward I push and slice.
Ever on, I face the the next,
Vile creature with a horses-head,
In it’s cloven hands, the mace whirls with death.
I duck and weigh the balance,
Laughing as I blaze of magic and thunder

Fire and stones, break it’s bones.
It legs gone,
Rendered flesh, and mindless wrath
Even now now it fights, it’s arms gone

Seven times I strike
Overhead,
Underhand,
Left,
Ending its life.
.
The way is clear, and we move on,
Hearing what creeps, beyond the wooded edge,
Always watchful of what lies about
Never stopping, for fear of rout
Ever treading toward the western edge,
Still things creep, at the edge of sight,

End of journey
Reaching our goal
River Crossing to the Town of Shoal
Andrew the merchant
Now relieved at the sight
Delivers our goods, and sets our bills right
