A regular evening in the Yawning Portal - Waterdeep

The night was still young. The regular rambling and bragging about adventures blended in perfectly in the whole ambience around the well down to Undermountain. A group of nobles discussing their recent profits, dwarves trying to drink their own body weight, it was all a regular sight for the consistant visitor of the Yawning Portal.
All eyes glanced towards the door as it opened as always. A bright green light slowly lighted up the short hallway into the inn. As it came closer it became clear it was a Watch-Wizard that went by the name Damien, wielding the light of his staff with a rather proud look. He entered the main hall walking straight up and his chest forward, looking around with a blank look, confidence and slight arrogance almost dripping from his face. The sound of his staff hitting the ground sended everyone back to their conversations and Damien took a slow look around. To his left he saw a group of three, a black dressed hin, a bald dwarf with a huge hammer on his back and another dwarf that was looking a bit more insecure as he spoke. Right in front of him was his fellow watchmember Azzilore waiting for him on the center table.
Damien took a deep breath and walks in slow pace towards the center table. Evening Azzilore were his words as he sat down slowly and placing his staff on his lap. The conversation started slowly between the two watchmembers but was suddenly interrupted by the loud sound of the door almost bashed in and opening fast. Everyone in the room turned to the door with a confused look and was waiting in silence for anything that could happen now. A well armored man with the well known shield, painted with a gold dragon, slowly emerged from the darkness outside and made his way into the well lighted main hall of the inn. All eyes around grew wide as the man stumbled inside while he was holding his chest and a small stream off blood was running down his gauntlet. Without a doubt the man made way towards the well, falling with a loud bang as he tripped over the steps around the well. Fool! someone screamed as the man pulled himself up on the edge and tumbled over it, deep down into the well. A soft scream slowly faded as the man descended.
Silence remained in the inn after the scream fully faded away, people shaking their heads with their eyes on the well. Just as people were able to pull their eyes off the well and starting their comments on the event, their eyes were forced to the door again as it was bashed open again. The loud sounds of several man entering in armor was the reason for the whole inn to stand paralysed and waiting again. WHERE...IS...HE? were the screaming words of the man as he stopped in the main hall, his speech interrupted by his lack of breath. As most people recovered from their shock, soft voices were going around the different groups in the room, speaking about the man being the noble Regnet Amcathra. Regnet glanced over the different groups slowly and shouted again WELL WHERE IS HE? putting everyone back to silence.
The silence was broken as Damien shifted his chair back on the wooden floor and stood up. Surprisingly relaxed he walked towards the noble, holding his staff firmly. Sir please explain the situation were his words as he stood tall in front of him and crossing his arms.
Regnet looked up slightly with anger boiling in his eyes. Regnet slowly regained his breath and spoke in a fluid sentence. That member of the guard stole a precious family possession, I need it back now! Regnet motions Damien aside and points towards the well as orders the watchmembers he took with him to go down the well. B-b-but Sir, that is U-u-nder-m-mountain spoke one of the watchmembers with great fear in his words and his head soaked in sweat. Go! Go now! Screamed Regnet. The group of watchmembers briefly looked at eachother and nodded right before they made their way up to the well and descended. Screams of fear slowly faded away as they went down. After Regnet’s eyes followed the men into the well, they were now focused on Damien again. Sir what is all this? he spoke as his speech grew less polite and gained more irritation and confusion.
Regnet took a deep breath and slowly explained the situation about his possesion being stolen by a member of the guard. After the conversation ended he took a few paces further inside the inn and cleared his throat. Please gather around for a moment. Damien watched from behind as Regnet spoke about volunteers to aid him in the task of retrieving his lost item. Damien stood surprised as the group of three suddenly hopped from the chair and moved forward. Wha’ be in dar fer us lad? asked the dwarf with his hand on his hammer. Sounds of surprise flew around the inn as Regnet speaks of a home for everyone involved with getting the item back. Damien’s eyes focus on Azzilore for a second and Azzilore nods slightly. The group of three fought over the attention of Regnet as their mind was overshadowed with greed. Damien placed a hand on Regnets shoulder and speaks in a calm voice I will lead them down there accompanied by Azzilore Sir. Regnet slightly frowned at the hand on his shoulder but nodded with a relieved look. Damien nodded back and made his way over to Azzilore. After a short conversation, Damien stood straight again and motioned the group of three around. You will all follow our lead if you want to be able to take the reward at all. With a serious look on his face Damien glanced around the three and noticed one of the dwarves muttering to himself in dwarven. Agreed? he spoke loudly as he looked down on the group and they all nodded in agreement, even the muttering dwarf. Damien eyed Azzilore a few seconds and then he turned and stepped up the the well. With one hand leaning on the well he pointed to Azzilore. Azzilore nodded and walked up to the well, slowly climbing into it. Damien’s finger went over the other three slowly and also they walked up and struggled to leap over the edge of the well. Damien peered down as the group descended. After a deep breath and a pride look around the people that were still standing paralyzed with their eyes on the well he slowly climbed in the well.
The bright green light of his staff slowly faded away as Damien heared soft conversations back up in the inn, that slowly grew silent as he descended...
