Three arrows was all it took.

Pathea walked down the road together with the man she now knew she loved. Chantuea and Lathander smiled upon her, she knew that. She looked at Fenrick, nodding at him, they had walked and talked for hours about life and religion. They were so unlike but yet agreed and argument like good friends.

But then came three arrows from three man. Pathea turned with a mocking smile, arrows? She knew how to deflect those. Her hand went up to block the first one.

And missed.

It slammed right into her throat, it would make her gasp in suprise but instead she gurgled with her own blood. Another slammed into her shoulder and a third into her belly before she had smashed into the ground.

Hundreds of hours of training wasted.

Pathea had been made by two persons passionate night, she had grown up among powerful monks and spent hours and hours studying the art of the black raven. She had found friends and enemies, allies and foes.

And all it took was three laughing men with their bows to undo all that. She would cry for her loss, that she wouldnt grow old with Fenrick and give birth to his children but she couldnt. For she was already dead.

Three arrows was all it took.
