Actually it is a level issue. I'm capping at 4 for now, that's enough for me to handle while learning the DM tools. Also I want all PCS to be within a couple of levels of each other, it makes it more fun for everyone.

EDIT: I also think I'll limit it to 6 players, but we're nowhere near that atm.

I can't make it this Saturday, so maybe Sunday would be an option? Who could make it and at what time?

could probably make gmt evening (past 20:00 gmt +1). But cant make firm commitment as it depends on other people disappearing at appropiate times. So probably shouldnt consider me when setting a time. Also my pc is lvl 4, although im happy to pretend to have taken a few levels of commoner and thus being relatively uselss.

Ok, I'm going to plan for a session starting around 10 pm Stockholm time. Sweden is normally GM+1 but due to the hateful daylight savings it's currently GMT+2. You can look up where you stand in relation to this at http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

I'm hoping to run for about 3 hours. Level 4 is great btw. We currently do 1-4.

To You, the Player, I will offer the following deal:

If you agree to commit your character as a Campaign PC in my campaign, and pledge to not play her/him/it outside of my DM events except for RP, buying/selling etc (i.e. no soloing), I will

1. Award you hefty bonus XP after each of my sessions

2. Study your character's background and devise plots that interact with your character's story, goals, phobias etc.

Roll up that second PC and come on board!

Just to make sure it's absolutely clear:

The reason I'm doing this is not some weird possessiveness, it's because within the few weeks I've been DMing three of my regular players PCs have died soloing. PCs that I was starting to build stories around. If I'm going to spin a campaign around your PCs I need them alive, so I can kill them myself! I promise to try to kill some of you, so that your death wish is satisfied.

Participating in this scheme is voluntary. You can still partake in my events if you don't want to take this deal.

Oh and I will start to implement the extra XP for PCs under level 4 too.

EDIT: If you opt in, you can also opt out at any time. But if you opt out, you can't opt in a second time for obvious reasons.

So from what I see, you specificaly want PC to not do anything dangerous.
Aron will join your campaining and opt to always be safe.
Just a question. Besides pure RP, are you allowing people to do stuff that pose zero threat to their lives? There are a number of things you can do that don't even get you near any hostiles or other vile things. Like post quests if you take a caravan, or some beginner statics.

For now, no statics for Campaign PCs. With regard to bonus XP for low level PCs, the lower level you are the higher the bonus, gradually decreasing until level 4 (applies to all PCs).

Game tonight moved forward 30 min to 7.30 pm Sweden time.

Edit: we are currently taking levels 1-5
