I too put some points in profession, which I assumed would be in sailor. However, I guess it could be in just about anything else.

The galley as described in the PHB is a Mediterranean galley, and the description of a "sailing ship" in the PHB is also uncannily close to the description of actual caravels (except it appears to be overcrewed... but then so is the galley)-- so yes, I'm pretty sure it is. Also of note: plate armor, rapiers, merchantilism, and the discovery of a "new world" by folk on the more-Eurasian-looking continent.

Not you, mind, just the setting. There's a good goal in there, tho, for the team. The goal being, "This caravel sucks, we'd privateer much better with a new ship design. Lets call it a brig".

That is really organized... I take it by hitting "edit" on that page, I get something I could copy paste elsewhere except with other campaign details. Nice to have a tidy little wiki page, in case of Vilquari campaign though at last count there's 29 topics and 1214 posts since campaign inception.

I'm excited for you bunch of ship campaigners though... be careful of gunning for heavy armor at first opportunity, I bet there'll be liberal use of falling overboard and getting to meet the swimming and drowning systems if not investing enough in Balance, Jump, Climb or other things used in shipboard battles.

Yeah, wikis not meant to replace discussion, but it'd be nice to instead of navigating all of the various forum threads in search of group, be able to... say... visit the player group category and have a standard format to figure out servers, alignments, and levels while browsing.

After much thought I have decided to scrap my current PC Tavarash and reroll a new level 1 for this campaign. PC will be a moonelf swash/rogue.
