Thanks for sharing such meta information Rumple, I thought such behavior was looked down at in Alfa but then again you were always the hypocrit. GG.

There's always Toby if the group needs a wizard. Though if its all level ones to start might need to wait, of course Toby being Toby...a strong sneeze from a goblin could kill him.

It wasn't a deliberate thing. It's on public forum record with the -meta- campaign back on the -meta- server. But i've amended the post. So sorry.

So true on being a hypocrite though. GG.

Reasons!
pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

Ha, well, is there a post for times?
If it's reasonably unreasonable, the coming month or two would be my reasonable time for unreasonable play time.

I could toss my level 5 and would be happy to start a super powerful level 1.

Did you guys start already?

You can indicate your available times in here

Hopefully everyones times will match up and zelk can confirm a schedule. Probably a week or two away from starting, going on the dates in the link above.

Recent events have made it likely that I will have a slot open to roll up a new PC.

I've have never in 9 years of ALFA played an arcane caster ... so maybe something in that realm.

If it's going to be kind of outlands/islands maybe a funky race or something might not be too weird for the setting .... just thinking aloud.
PCs: NWN1: Trailyn "Wayfarer" Krast, Nashkel hayseed

Yeah, I've only got responses from Witchdoctor and Rumple.

I'll be giving a starting date based on available data at the end of the week. Seems clear enough that there's enough interest to do some DMing here.

I want in!

I'll check the time schedule thing but I'm sure it'll work out for me.

A three hour tour...every week! *Hands over ticket to be punched*

Cheers,

Hi all who have expressed interest.

Please make sure to fill out your available play times for Zelk - here (http://whenisgood.net/hkqt3m2). This allows Zelk to nail down a session time that works for the majority. This is esp important for prospective euro players. (And while we are on the subject OT is looking to kickstart a EURO timed campaign of her own - http://www.alandfaraway.org/phpBB3/view ... 93&t=50945, so that is another avenue to get some (euro friendly) dm time)

I've had 2 other players say they'll probably be in as well once a few things get sorted on there end, but not yet confirmed.

So, the closest thing we have to a match is on Friday nights (U.S.) and to apologize to our Euro response and hope that there's a matching slot with Orangetree.

I'm thus setting the first session on...
Friday August 22nd at 7:00pm U.S. Central

With current DST, this means...
Friday, August 22nd at 5:00pm in Los Angeles
Friday, August 22nd at 8:00pm in New York
Saturday, August 23rd at 2:00am in Stockholm
Saturday, August 23rd at 3:00am in Jerusalem
Saturday, August 23rd at noon in Auckland

When daylight savings hits, the time difference will shuffle awkwardly toward 2:00pm in Auckland like a sudden outage of toilet paper. (the northern hemisphere goes back an hour and the southern hemisphere goes forward; so if we're still keeping in the U.S. players' availability, we have to shuffle our NZ player down a couple hours)

Based on availability responses and rolled characters...
We (probably) have...
Trap skills
Acrobatic skills
Social skills
Weak healing (x2)
Weak crowd control
Party buffs

We (probably) need...
Explosive damage
Toe-to-toe fighting
Ranged fighting

We (probably) could use...
Dedicated heals (potentially also ranged fighting)
Dedicated arcane spellcasting (potentially also explosive damage)

The hook is in the MS rumor thread...
http://www.alandfaraway.org/phpBB3/view ... 00#p616463

And a reminder about how I DM and things to expect...
http://www.alandfaraway.org/phpBB3/view ... 93&t=47195

I have an important ACR release to work on this weekend, as we have infrastructure migrations to make, and will start on tooling a ship after.

Are we waiting to roll up PCs until very near the start date, or do we have permission to go ahead and get some RP in with them ahead of time?
Talk less. Listen more.
