A Land Far Away

Hello, it's that time of year again! National Novel Writing Month dominates November for people all over the world. Especially people like me who volunteer to co-ordinate and encourage others, while still trying to achieve our average 1667 wordcount a day. In a nutshell, Nanowrimo challenges you to write 50,000 words of a novel over 30days.

Nanowrimo is awesome, fun, crazy, terrifying all at the same time. Interested? Huzzah! Sign up at http://www.nanowrimo.org if you haven't already. If you want to make it social (I recommend it... that third week, when the novelty wears off... socialness keeps me going!) find and join your local region, see what they're up to. Your ML(s) will probably be organising writeins and social events for congratulations, commiserations, encouragement and all the rest.

Some of you might have seen Swift's achievement of not only finishing a nanovel but also editing it and getting it to manifest in paperform. My goal, this year, is to be more like Swift!

I'm doing it this year. I am jealous of Swift's book and I want one of my own too!

Can you imagine how stocked with literary joy the library stockings could be for December and Christmas!?
