Regardless, I am going to be at RavenCon (*hopes someone got the albeit far fetched reference*) in Richmond VA in April, 13th - 15th. Kind of a long shot given it's a small con with focus on literature... Anyone else going?

Other than the "opening ceremony" which was a little bizarre... when over 50% of the audience are guests and spend the next hour congratulating each other in a slightly incestuous way for the uncomfortable lay congoer. And then the award for the previous year's "Best Room Party" goes to a man of at least 65 with the sort of facial hair Lord Flash commented on, making you think you need to find out where his room is and then avoid the entire floor...

RavenCon was really fun! Considerably smaller than your better known SFF Conventions and with most guests being involved in the world of literature rather than visual media. I went to some good panels on things like "Military Science Fiction" and "The Evil Ramifications of Harry Potter" as well a 4hours of writing workshops for aspiring writers. And then party time (no, not with that old dude) in the evenings.

Anyway, would recommend for anyone in the immediate area for next year. I'm going to suggest a panel on the pros and cons of writing groups to them so might even get to participate in the incest next time.
