Not another MMO, a Sandbox MMO.

This is way better.

It means that the players will control the world.

Other sandbox MMOs have been quite good (for MMOs).

Of course we'll find out about this one when/if it is released and if it stays a sandbox MMO.

EVE Online is the best Sandbox MMO around here and it even has a delegation of players who controls what CCP does with the game (as has been shown in a recent cash shop conflict).

Other Sandbox MMOs have not been that successful (such as Ryzom) or have been turned back into normal MMOs (like Star Wars Galaxies).

Love the news since Pathfinder is the closest thing we have to 3.5 that is not from Witchards of the Toast . If they have the right development money and they implement the PF rules like they did in nwn, I would love to see it completed (hopefully the development company hates the cartoony wow look and opts for a more realistic design)

JMecha and I are both active on the Pathfinder Online subforum of the Paizo boards.

It's actually going to be a hybrid sandbox/'theme park' MMO, NOT just a sandbox. However, they have already said that the game's graphics will be heavily influenced by the artwork in Pathfinder products--think Wayne Reynolds and Carolina Eade. They're also not using PFRPG rules because the Open Gaming License is murky about whether it's legal to do so, and instead are using a skill-based system like Ultima Online, Eve or Skyrim. It's in the extremely early stages of development, so there's not a whole lot of concrete information about what the game will look like, other than that it "will feel like Pathfinder."

Also, HI! :D Life is busy, but I do check in now and again!
