I hate buying hardware. Two months later it's old, worthless and you get to read about all the new stuff you could have bought for that money.

The core 2 quad is already old, an i5 will beat it easily.
Though it is a nice upgrade if you have a motherboard that supports it.

I'm a upgrade next summer or so, then send you the empty packaging of all my new kit to make you jealous, ElC.

That may be hard, Vel. I used to run a computer business, and still keep my accounts open to buy stuff for myself at wholesale cost. Give it your best shot though be interested to see what you get.

You just wrote you could get me the kit cheaper, right?

Hold off until next year if you can. Trade commisson restricts intel to new chip release to every 2 years i believe, so thisyears Iseries will likely be blown away by what they release next.
