How are we supposed to confirm that?

Over the last decade, I have written a variety of stories about such things as underground cities and government actions that could only make sense if there were no future.
Oh yes. Speaking in my official capacity as a history major, I wholeheartedly endorse everything in that article.

I have heard all of this before and knew about the Mayan calendar correlating with the solar alignment. Pretty damn accurate aint it.
Usually when the Mayan calendar is presented it was not put into context of the solar alignment just as a Doomsday prophecy. As science realized there was truly an event that will occur on the Mayan calendar end day........now they want to put the 2 together. Do not forget most other Doomsday prophecies have selected that same time as an "event".
My interpratation of the calendar is not as the end of time but the end of the long cycle. At which time the calendar starts anew. But alas there are no more Mayans to give us a new calendar. Alot of there short cycle stuff was very accurate as well able to predict seasonal changes planting droughts and such in the region fairly accurate as well.
The Mayans have long been known as the best astrologers the world has known. There temples still will reflect the solstices to this day.

The Mayans would impress me more as seers if they had seen their own demise.

I would be more frightened if this event hasn't happened before. Granted, it hasn't in
human history (I want to say this dealy is a once every 20,000 years thing, while the ballsiest assessments of human civilization's age put it at 12k?) I bet we get a very high high tide and a very low low tide, and some coastal cities are swearing and shaking their heads.
And then the portal will open, the lizard-headed Mayan demons will devour us all, and Yum Cimil will drag our souls screaming to Xibalba where we will rot while he stares on with delight from his empty eye sockets.

When the stars align R'lyeh shall rise to the surface and free Cthulhu. After eons of sleep, he shall awaken to reclaim dominion over the earth and to even look upon his form, shall cost all living things their sanity. Mankind will cast aside concepts of civilization and inhibition and we shall revel in our most basic instincts.
In all seriousness though, having studied much of what is wrote there myself, it is correct. For example, we can locate planets in other solar systems by finding "wobbling" stars that are pulled off axis by their planets, since planets in other solar systems are too small to see with a telescope. His interpretation of the Mayan calendar is also accurate. However, having all these things line up only proves that the Mayan's were very ahead of their time and forward thinkers; not that said date will be the end of the world.

I'll confirm the validity of this website on December 22, 2012.

Long, rambling pile of bullshit. The 2012 people are retarded, and not even in the fun Time Cube way.
The Mayan calendar ending in 2012 is no more meaningful than the Gregorian calendar ending on December 31st. If you think otherwise you're dumb.

The world was supposed to end in the year 2000. At the time, the popular theory was a meteor crashing into the planet, attracted by gravity of the Y2K problem.
Thanks to programmers like myself, we fixed the problem and saved everyone. But apart from loads of money, what thanks did we get? None! Ingrats.
...
Anyway, according to a pamphlet I got back in 1994 a child prophet had calculated the world was to end in 1996. So clearly we are all dead and you have nothing to worry about.
