More American Politics!

Post by NickD »

Looks like the getting a chick for VP thing is working in McCain's favour. It would seem he has caught up to Obama on some polls and has passed him in others.

It probably hasn't helped that Obama admitted that he's a muslim by accident!

Lol, of course, what he was talking about was John McCain not going after him (Obama) because of a 'supposed' Muslim Faith.

To be fair, 'twas just a slip. He's made them before, he'll make them again - same with Palin/McCain.

If half the Obama mis-statements got half the coverage of G.W. Bush mis-statements, people would think he was the biggest retard ever. But the media ignores them. Such as:

"I've been to all 57 states, except for Alaska and Hawaii"

"Memorial Day is a time to remember our fallen heroes. I see many of them here today."

I love how in this clip, it shows him soooo lost without a teleprompter. The wheels come off....derailment...it's fantastic.

All in all though, this has been a bad week for the Obama bin Biden campaign. :)

It sure has. If they don't get back on message and hit back soon, they're toast.

I recommend relying on a non-biased polling group (i.e., not Fox).

The Gallup Poll shows a similar disturbing pattern. Frankly, that this is happening at all disgusts me. It should be obvious what needs to be done, but there seems to be a large proportion of Americans who just don't get it, or don't want to get it. Also, i'm not cool with this "more of the same" argument. More of the same really means things are going to get worse. Economically, the U.S. market will take a plunge even further than it has already fallen. Internationally, the U.S. will be perceived as Puritanical zealots bent on feeding a holy war.

Isn't that what they are?

New Zealand would be better off under a Republican government anyway. As long as they come through with that trade agreement they've been talking about. Obama is talking a bit more insular.

If I get my job in Japan, Republicans continuing to tank the economy will be okay... the more the dollar falls, the faster I repay my student loans. :F Too bad I'm not selfish enough to help sacrifice the country for personal gain.

Wait, you mean use someone reliable instead of a propaganda news station that feeds into my fucked up world view and validates me as a person?

Utter nonsense ;)

Edit: I cant wait till this election is done and finished so all you extreme political nuts can go back to just being regular old dicks that some people can actually tolerate.

Hey, im not the one running around ALFA with political avatars and sigs crowing about the holiness of Fox News and how <insert> is a douchebag and insulting everyone that doesn't agree, but nice try. That takes being a dick to another level.

I thank the gods that Australians don't take their politics to such idiotic extremes.
