You think Obama can follow through on this promise?

I don't know, it's a pretty hefty promise to the American people. I only know of one person who I think could actually follow through, and I don't think it's Obama.

I saw that before and was going to post a link, but decided against it as all politics is just empty rhetoric anyway... :?

I keep telling people that I know from around the world what a cool place that the US is.

I'm starting of wonder if I'm wrong.

Come on US! You have a hockey mom, shooting guns and a potential president dancing on TV. What the hell is going on?

You have a history (although a short one) of being guardians of liberty and justice, but this is really slipping. With Bush in charge you are looking like idiots.

Quite frankly I find it scary as hell that the worlds most powerful country seems to have stopped voting with it's brain!

I really do love the US (My younger sister lives there and is married to a super nice American) but you guys are going down the drain and seriously start to focus on what's important.

Lihapullat is my favourite thing in the whole world!

When I was in Sweden I had Kötbullar for every meal!

I'm going to go on a Scandinavian tour and just eat kjøttkaker and frikadeller and kötbullar and lihapullat all day every day!

(I'm a Finnish citizen, but I've only been there once and just for a few days)

I see.

I'm curious as to how you became a Finish citizen and live in NEW Zealand (I live on the original). Where you born there and did your parents flee because they committed a terrible crime (like stealing vodka). ???

My mother came over when she was 4. There's a small town down south that imported a whole bunch of Finnish people 50ish years ago because it was built around a pulp and paper mill and needed skilled pulp and paper type people, of which Finland apparently had quite a few. My grandfather was an engineer.

I don't know if she still does, but my grandmother used to drink vodka every single day.
