How come sometimes when you edit posts it puts at the bottom of your post how many times it was edited, and sometimes when you edit your posts, it doesn't?

it only puts something at the bottom if you've editted it after someone else posts after you.

I think it also does if there's a long gap between the time you post and the time you edit.
