Just a small clip from the yesterday's local paper, which brought a smile to my face.
United States President George Bush flew into Sydney talking big on climate change - in a roadshow with his own Texas-sized carbon footprint.

The president arrived with two 747s, a number of transport planes, two helicopters, more than a dozen vehicles, including two bulletproof Cadillacs, and an army of secret service agents and officials.

It was enough to bring downtown Sydney to a halt, even with the president's late arrival. Onlookers counted 18 cars.

Over the nuxt few days, the president and his entourage are expected to emit 57,885 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalents - the amount produced by 2000 average Australians in a year according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Compare that with Prime Minister Helen Clark - she and her husband Peter Davis will be flying to Apex on a commercial flight with just 10 advisers and officials.
Go Bush! Saving the environment one small step at a time!
