Yes, very cool.

I'm fortunate enough to have a collection of letters-home written by a great-x-uncle of mine who served in the Pennsylvania Volunteers. An amazing and personal glimpse into such significant history.

That was nice.

How many had ancestors in the CW?

My GGGrandfather went from Corporal to Lt in the 5th Iowa Cavalry from Fort Donnelson to Gettysburg under Grant.

My wife's GGrandfather was in the 2nd New York Veterans Cavalry and went from Trooper to Sergeant and fought in the Penninsular Campaign under Meade.
