Your brainless god-bless-America take on it trivialises it far more than Swift's take does. You have no capacity to understand the event in any sort of context - instead, it becomes a kind of totem pole you hang the markers of your deficient understanding of global and national politics from, before daubing your face with earth, beating your chest, and roaring stupidly.

I mean that last bit metaphorically, you understand.
I asked for reflection but instead, I was bombarded with political antipathy of morons. May danubus never make the mistake of posting a 9/11 thread again upon these forums. It's quite clear how people react to it, hostile and divisive. If anyone is beating their chest and roaring stupidly it would be the fellows in this thread who choose make light of it or call down those who wish to remain respectful. Yes, they succeed in being antagonistic just as you attempt to dismiss my reaction to that as little more than a stupid brute beating his chest. - Metaphorically speaking. If you do not understand terrorism, than I suggest the least you could do would be to visit the blog in my sig. The "How" of september 11th is only secondary to the understanding of the enemies we face in a now overt global battle against terrorism. All I ask is that we can mourn, remain respectful, even discuss the aspects of terrorism. - Maybe I was asking to much of the internet.

Everyone remembers where they were, everyone. It was an attempt on my part to change the tone of this thread. Obviously it failed. . .

. . oh, and one more thing, God Bless America. I hope that didn't trivilize the ad hoc and utterly pointless bush criticisms to much for you.

Apple/raspberry, which is what I think accounts for the odd coloration.

It is raspberry and rhubarb. It is one of the best rhubarb combos ever. It is awesome with custard. Yum.

Raspberry. It has both a sweet and sour taste which fully engages all your taste buds. Rhubarb on its own, which some people may refer to as a more mature, acquired taste, is just too sour on its own and lacks a bit of depth, which puts it in the taste enhancer category rather than the solo act.

Maybe you were, and maybe I was asking too much when i mentioned the hundreds of thousands of civilians (men, women, elderly and children) killed in Iraq, by Coalition and insurgents. I mentioned it, and received a, "too bad, that's war" from your compatriot who, by the way, started this thread a day early.

I think, in many respects, the knee-jerk reaction presented here, especially by Europeans, is quite similar, and in response, to Danubus', "too bad, that's war."

Yea, I'll go a hell of a long way to avoid a fight. That's because I'm a fan of obscene overkill if it comes to violence. Our half measures and number games are pretty sick and wasteful for both sides.

We've been having wars for years. Shut up.
