It's not all bad. I liked the mutiny, and I liked the piano episode until the pop song came out. The only final five cylon that is believable though is Tyrol, and the idea that they all just happened to survive the nuclear holocaust of the 12 colonies and end up together seems horribly contrived, though I suppose the Cavil's could have arranged it.
It was worse than that. He's a neurosurgeon. Why hasn't he been providing medical care before? BSG only had one doctor available, that's it, for all this time and now there just happens to be a neurosurgeon that everyone forgot about until now? Besides, the humor turn was really jarring compared to the mood of the rest of the show. We've got this gritty, hard hitting dystopic epic, hey let's throw in a clown!Burt wrote: Oh god they made a complete throwaway character generic and humorous, what complete failure.
I'm sticking it out, it's still the best sci-fi show on television, but it was a lot better first season. Auctioning off the props during the commercial breaks has become a sad metaphor for the show.
