If only this worked. As I see it now, pretty much only progressive liberal social agendas get upheld while those who hold conservative ones have to suck it up because the courts decide it needs to be that way based on a few parents who wont allow their children to hear prayers. They will let their children watch Jerry Springer and play Grand Theft Auto, however.

Factual statement: it says nothing in the Constitution about homosexual marriage, public prayers, abortion, et al. Therefore, the courts are interpreting the Constitution. Real issues should be voted on by voters, passed into legislation and upheld by courts, not the courts deciding what is the legislation so the voters have to live with it barring a Constitutional amendment.

Government of the people, by the people and for the people; if I recall correctly.

While I have a great deal of respect for Abraham Lincoln, his words are not constitutional law........but the 14th Ammendment is.
"no state shall… deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."
Thank god for the Equal Protection clause to keep States from allowing government mandated discrimination.
