I don't even deserve the name of amateur, but here's a fortuitous view from the Old Country:

pragmatic (adj.)
The opposite of idealistic is pragmatic, a word that describes a philosophy of "doing what works best."
From Greek pragma "deed," the word has historically described philosophers and politicians who were
concerned more with real-world application of ideas than with abstract notions. A pragmatic person
is sensible, grounded, and practical.

So my new DSLR came in the mail yesterday. Today I made my own lightbox ($7), mostly for fun. I might actually use it for selling stuff online some day. Here is what it looks like and then 2 sample images using the setup and my new camera.

Nice! I've never used a lightbox. Good results there.
