GENCON 2014

Post by maxcell »

Anyone in or near Indiana? This is supposedly a huge gaming convention, happening this August.

http://www.gencon.com/

I am 100% willing to travel there for this. Happy to set time aside from work. It apparently covers alot of different gaming facets, from board to pnp to larp to video.
I will only be going if I can meet up with someone, since 4 days of gaming sounds fun but not if I am alone :/

It is far less expensive than PAXeast, at 70$ for 4 days ($40 if you buy daily).

I normally go to Gencon one day a year to walk around and check out the latest in gaming. I though will not be attending this year. If you have any Gen Con questions though feel free to ask.

Can't think ahead to August just yet, I'd love to go to GenCon one year, I'll let you know if I can swing a last minute trip nearer the time.

I WILL be at Origins for sure though: www.originsgamefair.com which is June 11th- 14th. Possible I could somehow pick you up en route too Max, I'll be driving from VA with my Mum and brother so if you don't mind tagging along as a pseudo-family member for the weekend we could probably work something out. I have friends in Columbus who don't care how many people they put up in their big house, as long as we have sleeping bags. You might have played xbox with them.

Origins is said to be second to GenCon (the second and third biggest game conventions in the world, with Spiel in Germany being at the top). I went last year, had a blast.

Anyway, maybe on GenCon, definitely on Origins.
