Cruisin' USA: A moose cometh!
Cruisin' USA: A moose cometh!
So, im looking at my plans for this coming vacation spanning september 5th to september 25th. During this time, I plan on spending two weeks in that exotic, yet very familiar place called America.
The plan isn't complete yet, but the idea is to go alone, get drugged, kidnapped and raped. All while visiting the following places: New York City, Washington DC, Boston, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Las Vegas.
If there is anyone close to those places that would like help me check off any or all of the items above please feel free to do so. I am not worth anything to anyone, so if you kidnap me it's basically just for the lulz.

washington dc - don't matter, just don't get shot.
boston - not sure... there are many more qualified folk
la - stay out of the damn city and go hiking in the hills... much more fun.
ventura - wtf? where is that?
vegas - at one dollar blackjack table, if you play reasonably well, you can consume more free drinks than you loose cash. and go see teh grand canyon...

Scrap that whole useless plan, and vacation in Thailand. It's nearly free and way more fun.

Appreciate the suggestion, but I fricken hate the idea. Thailand is like Swedens distant backyard. Whenever a swede imagines going on a vacation he imagines three places. Greece, Thailand and Turkey. I don't want to go to any of them.Galadorn wrote:Scrap that whole useless plan, and vacation in Thailand. It's nearly free and way more fun.

Other yankess are probably going to be shocked I said this, and I may even lose the right to do the secret handshake, but really, in new york, avoid all the normal tourist stuff like the empire state building and the statue of liberty. Really, you will spend two days doing them both, and they are not all that impressive, and a whole lot of stairs.

Well Los Angeles encompasses quite a bit. I think I mentioned it to you before but I live in the south bay so if you're interested in seeing the local beaches, well theres that. You've got your Venice, Huntington Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu..etc etc. If you want to go to a place that feels like Tijuana Mexico, theres downtown, if you're really brave and want to drive 200 miles theres the real thing (Mexico). Closer by is Joshua Tree, perhaps Mojave desert. You've got your usual set of Amusement Parks. A day seeing Hollywood, Sunset Blvd, the various clubs around there might be worthwhile. Would suggest visiting a winery or two. Also theres the L.A. County fair going on while you would be here.

Yes. That makes sense. We do see a lot of large families of tall thin people with all near white-blonde hair, scantily dressed, extremely confused or dumb expressions on their faces walking around the tourist areas taking pictures...why would you want to visit "home"?boombrakh wrote:Appreciate the suggestion, but I fricken hate the idea. If you hit LA, depending on the days I'll take you out for a drink to my favorite scotch bar in the city. ( or somewhere else if you are a heathen and dislike scotch and cigars)
