WoW during downtime...

Post by Galadorn »

Who knows how long we'll be down... and even if it's only a short time... anyone playing WoW? I wanna fire up a new toon, on a new server, RP-PvP, or PvP preferably.

Anyone by chance playing and anyone by chance make a new toon lately?

I'm thinking Undead Warrior....

If anyone is playing, please post your server and toon name please!

I have way too many games including SC2 to play over warcraft. It was fun though for it's time though.

Second Character: Damien Collins, the atypical druid. "What? Being a stick in the mud is boring. No pun intended grins"

Agreed entirely.

But with the new WoW expansion, which has really shaken up Aezeroth, i'm thinking it might be fun-zoid.

Exodus server, Shadows of Amn, should be up and running.

Might be a good time to check it ;)

Just head there: http://www.exodus-world.com/ and tell them that you are an ALFA member.

I don't know if the gamespy website will have a forgot username thing, but it's worth a try.

If you remember the character's name, Java over in IRC #exodus could probably look up what GSID you used (query Characters ORDER BY Name, record the PlayerID, then query that ID in Players). Exodus uses the ACR so they have the same underlying data structure as ALFA.

played wow for about 50 days during burning crusade. Played pvp/rp and the game got boring. Now just tried out aoc and didn't even last that long due to the fact that it was a wow knock off and the amount of tech issues with it and their forum. One thing that has always ticked me off is the idea that you need a degree and a calculator to figure out your stats. Hoping someday that someone will make a mmo that is along the lines of our fps.

EQ was the one I was addicted to but even then I burned out on it after 6 months when I realized that what/how I wanted to play was never going to happen in a MMO.

I played WoW for a bit after launch and resubbed a few times (reminds to be cancel my sub again :) ) The latest update I resubbed for and they have made improvements, lots of them really, to the early levels, it's fun but still the same game and got boring again for me fast.

When you are looking for a RP experience similar to ALFA gave....well WoW just doesn't cut it :)
