Done. He's trying to make arrangements as we speak, I believe; so fingers are crossed for success. If he can find a good transportation option, he'll be looking at arriving at a reasonable hour on Friday.valn99 wrote:Lastly, if anyone has a way to reach Maxcell, tell him he HAS to come!

Parking near the Hynes is easy - there's a huge garage underneath it, and another on Dalton Street nearby.
... and I'm an early riser, but a slow starter. But I've got no problem meeting in town mid-morning on Saturday.
AL has my cell #.

I was planning to park in Cambridge and take the T into the city, but yeah, parking there shouldn't be an issue.Curmudgeon wrote:Parking near the Hynes is easy - there's a huge garage underneath it, and another on Dalton Street nearby.
Anytime Saturday morning works for me. I tend to get up early as well ... Just give me a call in the morning when you guys get up and I'll drive down to meet up with you.

NWN1 PC:
Now (2017): Bran, naive servant of Lathander, currently thinking about opening a potion shop.
circa 2000: JenWa, proud mother duck and half-crazed sorceress of Shadowdale.
NW2 PC: Kasil Trueforger, dwarven scholar of Felbarr.
Garlus Ironbeard: [d] I was sure there was a reason we brought you along.
Kevorn Trueforger: [d] I'm da funny one and ye're da smart one.

I seem to remember aching feet, being lost, incredibly hot subways (tubes), being lost, leaving the t-shirt I bought for a gift somewhere in our travels, being lost, gruelling 6+ hour on a bus there and 6+ hours back, being lost, and that my hotel lobby could fit in my bathroom.
I also remember a beautiful city, wonderful weather, friendly/helpful residents, delicious food and drink (try the beef & ale pie at the Elephant & Castle), a fun an informative ride on a duck, a Turkish Festival, an Italian dinner to die for (mmm Calamari Friti), a prison turned hotel, missing ghosts, sleeping in, Costa ricans speaking kiwi, pre-med paladins, angry chipmunk cameras, humble leaders, Clangeddin's servant in real life, Légion étrangère in NewYork, and without the encouragement of a friendly and witty ex-discjockey, I would have missed it all.
Thank you all for being there...and now, dear god, let the pictures and videos be posted.

My pictures weren't the best, but I was the designated scanner for the group photo before the Duck Tour, so:

Back row, L-R: Curmudgeon, Maxcell, Legionnaire
Front row, L-R: Rotku, Valn99, AcadiusLost
(not pictured / arrived later: Alynnrobinson, Paazin)
The DUKW which carried us about on our tour (as reflected in a building):

Somewhat visible onboard are Legio, Rotku, and Curmudgeon (L-R).
A few others:
Maxcell and Valn99 demonstrate their duckling nurture techniques:

Rotku, Cormudgeon, Valn99, and Maxcell in the Boston Public Library:

Legionnaire looks on while Paazin gives bunny-ears to Valn99:

Curmudgeon and Alynn before the parting of ways (and after the excellent Italian meal in the North End):

Alynn advises on Valn's camera woes (Boston ALFAcon07 reunion shot)

Looking forward to seeing some of the others' photos from the weekend, was a great time, look forward to doing another before too long.
