Bioware MMO?
Bioware MMO?
Been a long time since there was any news about this MMO bioware was working on. Does anyone know any news about it recently or has it been cancelled? Id just like some info. Thanks.

The only news we have had since its announcement in 06 has been:
1) Right about the time that Bioware announced their MMO, Lucasarts revealed that other MMO developers had approached them about creating another star wars MMO
2) On October 19, 2007, Primotechnology.com posted an article that a source 'close to Bioware Austin' confirmed to them the MMO was based in the KOTOR universe.
Bioware have done amazingly well at keeping details under wraps, and their joint CEOs have refused to even speculate on the games IP. All they have revealed is that a) Its got all the characters and story arcs Bioware games are known for (take that as you will) and b) They already have it in a playable state.
Thats it. I honestly cannot see them breaking out with a brand new IP for their first shot at the MMO genre. If you discount that possibility, a blind guess would pin the setting as Mass Effect or KOTOR, both of which would be fucking awesome, however i lean towards the latter. There are 2 things Lucasarts loves
1) Milking Star Wars
2) Making truckloads of money.
A KOTOR MMO by Bioware would achieve both.
