Laptop recommendations

I have the laptop - and it's really pretty good so far. Haven't yet fired up NWN2 (finals in a month), but it runs pretty dreamily.

However, Dell were so utterly incompetent, obstructive, and useless at delivering it that I'll never use them again. Which is a shame. Short version: they didn't ship it 2nd business day as I'd ask, lied about it, admitted they'd lied, then claimed it was impossible to change the delivery address to New York so I could get some friends there to bring it back to the UK. When I told them I'd spoken to DHL (who were *great*) and so I knew they could, they spent two hours being put on hold and generally fobbed off.

I was so angry by the end I could barely talk.

On a related note - can anyone recommend a good (free) firewall which works with vista? Thank you!

Wow. Sorry about that Cassiel. My experience with Dell delivery was really good - I got my computer a week early (or more - I don't really remember, but I know we were not even near the "build" date, let alone the shipping date, when the computer landed at my door). No clue on the fire-wall - I have one in my router and I use Trend on my PC.

I use what came with the box. However, a good friend of mine uses the free version of zonealarm. Seems to do the job.
