Holy crap. While it still looks like mindless entertainment, this time it'll be mindless entertainment with a truly stupendous amount of dismemberment.

All in all, I was a little disappointed by the original. It was alright if you took it as a mindless stand alone movie, but it didn't fit in with either the Predator or Aliens universe... And this doesn't look like it will either.
Current PCs:
NWN1: Soppi Widenbottle, High Priestess of Yondalla.
NWN2: Gruuhilda, Tree Hugging Half-Orc

Nope. AvP had nothing in common with some of Darkhorse's better AvP stories... but a frigging ton of people are gonna die in this movie so who cares? bring some popcorn and leave your family values at home for this bug hunt!
<Gebb> ok, what does it mean to be "huggled"? <spidroth_esq> Something terrible. <Squamatus> buggered <Dran> sodomised <Squamatus> by an acorn on a stick <tresca> LOL <Gebb> that didn't help <alynn&gt

I agree the Dark Horse stuff was awesome. Not sure if this movie will be worth a damn, though.

Haven't read any of those. I'm talking more about stuff like Predators turning up in the Antarctic when they only show up when there's a heatwave, and a mother alien body being left intact when in the Alien movies they were so keen to get a sample of an alien hundreds or so of years later.

yawn. gruesome deaths get rather boring after the first hundred or so
People talk of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as man, so artistically cruel.

I am quite confident they showed the best bits in the trailer, therefore i have no reason to see the full length version now.

I will go see it. AvP1 was not nearly violent enough. It got PG-13 here in the states, for god's sake.
