If it is going to be in Raleigh, I will do my best to be there. I'll start buttering up the wife for the time.

NC would rock for me Glass. Thank you for taking this on, let me know if there would be anything I could do to help. Not sure if I would fly as it is in driving distance from PA here.

looking at about $60-70 (not including tax) per night for hotel rooms. I am sure we can double up though, so even at 2 people per room, 30 a night isn't bad at all(there are cots as well :P). Still looking into locations though. Hoping for some more replies too since there were about 20 people interested. let me hear some noise to make sure we are all still game.

Location: Raleigh, NC
Date: Memorial day weekend, May 27th-29th
Hotel cost: 60-70 (30-35 split 2 ways, 20-23 split 3 way)
cot for entertainment: Still working on that but expect the usual food costs and so on. I'd say 100-200 to be on the safe side for food/entertainment.
Trasportation: I have my truck that seats 2 and yeah.. anyone driving down will have to be carpooling as well :P more the merrier!

If anyone has suggestions for what I should be looking for in way of fun stuff to do. by all means suggestions are welcome. Like I said before, raleigh has everything.

Wow.. My bad. I've been sleeping on this thread. I'll start working on the wife as well; she's some friends in Raleigh that should be able to keep her busy. 8) So, I'm interested, but not definite yet. Keep ya posted.

it's probably my fault but it doesn't look like this is going to happen. I honestly don't have the time to coordinate this like i'd hoped to. between houses and my schedule keeps getting shifted left and right with family business as I try to wrap things up. If anyone else would like to take the torch and set this up, cool. If not i guess we will have to pospone this ALFAcon. Sorry to all those looking forward to it though there weren't really any responses after the initial surge of interested players. ah well, we can aim for a later date. Again sorry for my inability to set this up.

Sounds like Loulabelle and I will be in NYC for a few days in early january, flying in the afternoon of the 3rd, flying out sometime on the 8th.

Anyone feel like trying to make a post-new-years East Coast ALFAcon happen?

I might be persuaded to meet for lunch if you are all in Manhattan.

Bill and I could maybe do something that weekend, the 6th-7th. I'll double check and let everyone know.

I agree with maxcell, we should do it dwarf style! Seriously though, I'm down for whatever.

Wow, that would be cool, but...
I can't say for sure yet, specially if I get an internship.
