Give www.notebookforums.com a try before you buy a Voodoo.
There are, apparently, very few companies that actually make laptops and all the other companies simply brand them with their name and sell them for different prices.
I priced out a voodoo gaming laptop 2 years ago and it was going to run me almost $4k. I went to the above sight, found out the oem laptop it was based on and bought the same laptop without the fancy paint for about $2k.
So before you buy boutique see if you can find it for a much more reasonable price.
A good laptop for Gaming

Resurrection of thread:
I replaced the traumatized laptop last time around with a Dell (due to work expense account reasons).
Now it's time to think hard about NWN2.
My goal are to play NWN2 on a laptop.....
I travel a fair bit, so if I could find a lightweight machine that would do it well I'd be pleased.
New job now, so the dell mandate isn't applicable.
