SUNSET SAILS by Marisha Dervise Tribute to Jackman Hull

SUNSET SAILS
by Marisha Dervise
Tribute to Jackman Hull

CAPTAIN JACK HE WAS SO FINE
A SAILOR OF THE SALTY BRINE
HAD AT LEAST ONE GIRL IN EVERY PORT
SOME WERE TALL AND SOME WERE SHORT.

HE KISSED THEM ALL WITHOUT FORETHOUGHT
NOBLE DAUGHTERS OR WENCHES, ON THE SPOT
HE WARMED THEIR BEDS AND WOULD THEN DEPART
FOR NONE OF THEM COULD WIN HIS HEART.

BEHIND LEFT HE BABES, AS HIS LEGACY
SMALL PRODUCTS OF HIS LECHERY
FOREVER SHALL WE MOURN HIS LOSS
THE ENDLESS SEA HE NOW DOES CROSS.

BUT IN A FIGHT HE WAS STEADFAST
THERE HE FOUGHT AND BREATHED HIS LAST
AGAINST THE MENACE DEEP BELOW
STRUCK DOWN BY THE ORB OF WOE.

NOW UPON THE SUNSET SEA SO CALM,
A SAILOR STANDS WITHOUT A QUALM
POISED UPON THE MAIDEN'S HEAD
THRUSTING FORTH, ALWAYS AHEAD

THE GOLDEN COIN HAS SPUN ITS LAST
SAILS GATHERED ON THE MAST
THE MAIDENHEAD SAILS NO MORE
WITH HIM TO ANOTHER SHORE.

Ballad of the Biir-kerym by Aelenta Renvanith

Ballad of the Biir-kerym
by Aelenta Renvanith

We are not knights in armors that gleam,
We are the rambling Biir-kerym,
Swords without Tradition
Schooled without Tuition
Footwork that makes the Transition,
No matter the battle's position!

When penetration is a must
Parry, pirouette, and thrust
In Biir-kerym you can trust!

Do not call upon a Knight who is stoic,
When you desire heat with your heroic,
Seek the swords of a Biir-kerym poet!

When penetration is a must
Parry, pirouette, and thrust
In Biir-kerym you can trust!

Seek not men of mail mounted on steeds,
But someone who can meet your needs,
Seek a sword of Biir-kerym to fulfill your dream

When penetration is a must
Parry, pirouette, and thrust
In Biir-kerym you can trust!

Not to disparaging the traditional hero,
But in the night our failure rate is zero,
Those who want cream of the crop,
Know that Biir-kerym will never stop.

When penetration is a must
Parry, pirouette, and thrust
In Biir-kerym you can trust!

No matter if fighting in the streets,
Or an engagement in the sheets,
If you want blood to steam
evening filled with screams,
You need only seek the Biir-kerym

Ogre slaying song by Wren Bluefeather

Ogre slaying song
by Wren Bluefeather

In the dark and in the muck
Down we go to test our luck
Far below, and deep within
To bring down the monstrous kin

Dodge the boulder thrown with ease
Bring that ogre to its knees
Sword and bow and magic spell
Now this story I can tell

In the dark and in the muck
Down we go to test our luck
Far below, and deep inside
That is where the ogres hide

We bait them out one by one
Hack and slash until they’re done
Watch the ogre as it falls
Blood and gore throughout the halls.

Deeper still we forge within
Seeking now the day to win
Somewhere deep within the lair
The ogre king we must beware

Daring still to venture on
Ogres fall . One by one
Round a corner did we spy
Ogre king with glowing eyes

The ogres did advance with rage
Behind them cast the kingly mage
Bursts of green and clouds of read
When all was clear, the king was dead

Breath was able to be caught
Relief to vanquish the foe we sought
Returning back the way we’d come
No ogre left, no. Not a one.

Forty Fallen Stars by Nuro Nightstar

Forty Fallen Stars
by Nuro Nightstar

Forty Stars have fallen of the sun and the moon
Forty Stars have fallen of the green and the wood
Forty Stars have fallen to the Ar'Cor'Kerym rune
Forty Stars have fallen where they stood

Forty fallen have answered the calling
Forty fallen have burnt away in culling
Forty fallen have faded from the night
Forty fallen have failed to claim the might

Forty Stars have fallen of the sun and the moon
Forty Stars have fallen of the green and the wood
Forty Stars have fallen to the Ar'Cor'Kerym rune
Forty Stars have fallen where they stood

Forty fallen were not ready
Forty fallen failed to prove steady
Forty fallen had made their choice
Forty fallen have lost their voice

Forty Stars have fallen of the sun and the moon
Forty Stars have fallen of the green and the wood
Forty Stars have fallen to the Ar'Cor'Kerym rune
Forty Stars have fallen where they stood

Forty fallen act as a herald's horning
Forty fallen provide us a warning
Forty fallen dead and done
Forty fallen asking for Forty-one

Forty Stars have fallen of the sun and the moon
Forty Stars have fallen of the green and the wood
Forty Stars have fallen to the Ar'Cor'Kerym rune
Forty Stars have fallen where they stood

Sounds of the Magisters by Arras Raventree

Post by jmecha »

Sounds of the Magisters
by Arras Raventree

You can enter by day a normal manse
Twill be quiet as any church or tomb
But if you hit it after dark by chance
You'll hear the music which spells your doom

The portals hum,the imps they cackle,
The ghoul lord's hiss, the zombies moan
The hell hound's bark the skeleton's crackle
The sounds of the Magisters chill to the bone

The inside be grand not a thing amiss
The first floor library, not a book found
The dead don't read just long for a death kiss
Beware the vampire if he's not in ground

For the portals please read Clearwater's book
Or release a friend from the lower plane
Twill kill you with its horns or vicious hook
But twill eat your soul before you are slain

The portals hum,the imps they cackle,
The ghoul lord's hiss, the zombies moan
The hell hound's bark the skeleton's crackle
The sounds of the Magisters chill to the bone

So gather round heroes and hear my song
Ye may think the ghouls, wights and ghasts be bad
Ye think they're the worst but ye would be wrong
It will be the Sounds that will drive ye mad

Small Rats by Flynn Vermillion

Small Rats
by Flynn Vermillion

On my way ta the Hang-ed Man
On a fine moonlit eve
'Tis the time the fun began
The Rat my purse did try ta thieve

I turned as I entered the inn
"I'll carve you up" says he
I pull me blade and say with a grin
This will end bad fer ye

Ye Rat, Ye Rat, ye know ye'll run,
So why ye talk so tall?
We both know when the scrape be done
The grave digger's hole be small

A mistake ye made, that we both know
False as any of ye hope o' riches
Cause at me the shyte ye throw
Came right from yer own britches

Ye Rat, Ye Rat, ye know ye'll run,
So why ye talk so tall?
We both know when the scrape be done
The grave digger's hole be small

I tip the barkeep as I leave
And ask pardon from the ladies bright
If the leavings of my cleave
Should spoil their appetite

Ye Rat, Ye Rat, ye know ye'll run
So why ye talk so tall?
We both know when the scrape be done
The grave digger's hole be small

An Ode(r) for the Ages by Alora Tuffet-Hopper

An Ode(r) for the Ages
by Alora Tuffet-Hopper

Scarier than a marauding dragon
More grim than Waterdeep’s docks
Are two steaming, hot and grimy beasts
Those be Wayfarer’s socks

Laying prone over Safehaven’s fire
Harmless as pigeon flocks
That’s what ye thought til ye got a whiff
Of mighty Wayfarer’s socks

Should an army march to the city gates
Our war machines require nay rocks
For Daggerford and Baldur’s Gate
Are no match for Wayfarer’s socks

Far smellier than the hills of shit
And revolting than orcish pox
No one on the coast can match against
The indomitable Wayfarer’s socks

City Dragon By Midnight

Post by jmecha »

City Dragon
By Midnight

Is it worth it, who to trust?
Answers lost in lore and dust.
Mage holds power, wants to control
Dragon of steel, who protects the whole.

Does She draw them, or protect the City,
When wyrms come near for havoc and plunder?
Is She noble defender or a selfish biddy . . . .?
Would suffer the city... were she to go under?

City dragon, should watch Her rear,
The Mage of Dragons does pursue.
A price that was paid for a friend dear,
May be Her undoing when all is through.

The Black to the south would embrace her with vigor
Squeeze all her secrets 'fore he causes her rigor.
Compelling the aid of some, for their fear
To bring her to ground . . in to his grip's sphere.

When She destroyed Nabalynth and the cult,
Was it for you or me, or Herself, twas it done?
Or is She truely a protector who gets a result,
And has angered the Mage who wants her to run?

Dragon of the City best find your own allies,
The Mage, he is gathering to many eyes.
To find where you hide and in what guise
Is the tale He tells, truth or more lies?

The black well by Wren Bluefeather

The black well
by Wren Bluefeather

Yawning maw of endless dark
Swallows all the light
No glimmer, not a single spark
In this perpetual night

Hallway twists and then it turns
Claws on stone do scrape
Within Undead black heart burns
For blood with mouth agape

Foulness rises from below
The place of grave resort
No, my dearest never go
Down the hole in Black well court

In the shadows, time he bides
For prey to wander near
When the fangs no longer hide
You’ll know the truth of fear

Strike fast with stake or magic blade
Do not linger there
For Evil lies in coffin bed
Within the vampire’s lair

Foulness rises from below
The place of grave resort
No, my dearest never go
Down the hole in Black well court

Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne by Nuro Nightstar

Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne
by Nuro Nightstar

Bones stronger then stone
Dwarven defenders fight hotter then coal
Moradin's steel burns bright in their soul
Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne

Deep beneath the mountain of Swords
Clan chiefs Kings of Melair were their Lords
Artisans and craftsman knowing the ancient lore
They delved the deepest and darkest for their ore

Bones stronger then stone
Dwarven defenders fight hotter then coal
Moradin's steel burns bright in their soul
Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne

King Melair first discovered mithral ore
1288 years before the Dale Reckoning
The Drow of the deep ever threatening
His sons defending four generations more

Bones stronger then stone
Dwarven defenders fight hotter then coal
Moradin's steel burns bright in their soul
Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne

In The Year of Purloined Power
Never did beards of Melairkyn cower
No matter the number of the Drow
Sons n Daughters of Melairbode kept their vow

Bones stronger then stone
Dwarven defenders fight hotter then coal
Moradin's steel burns bright in their soul
Guardians of the Melairkyn Throne

Parlor Tricks by Aelenta Renvanith

Parlor Tricks
by Aelenta Renvanith

As a youth I was curious to my core,
just a boy looking to explore,
secrets were my treasure to seek,
I learned a thing or two about being a sneak,
Always wanting to see and learn a little more.

As I grew a little bit older,
my curiosity only grew bolder.
window curtains and doors ajar,
were no long enough to shine my star.

So I made my first set of picks,
so I may continue to get my kicks.
I put my skills to the test,
rank amateur at best,
often caught I took my licks.

This is now and that was then,
I have since expanded my play pen.
Now before you condemn my actions,
allow me to offer satisfaction?

These days I dare say my Larceny is varsity,
and if you have a need that locks impede,
together we might do the deed

Need you a treasure,
it would be my pleasure,
to help you acquire
your heart's desire.

Say it be a tome of lore from the days of yore,
or a lost and forgotten relic majestic,
or vestments of virtue who's restrictions bore,
we may share adventures fantastic.

The Night’s Wisdom by Sarenna Irithyl

The Night’s Wisdom
by Sarenna Irithyl

Innocents that fear the night
They fear the darkest part
Horrors fell must flee the light
For Midnight’s blackest heart

But I’ve beheld the demon’s might
And seen the wicked’s Art
Dusk’s mingling of the dark and light
Marks woe and sorrow’s start

The Wheel holds all, the wrong and right
And moves in every heart
When your turn comes in fading light
You’ll truly know your part.

Brute Squad (Formerly the Raging Trio) by Flynn Vermillion

Brute Squad (Formerly the Raging Trio)
by Flynn Vermillion

There be a new song echoing tha’ walls under tha’ city
A song o’ blood n’ death sung by the weapons of this quad
Their foes are slain without remorse or pity
Tha’ party they all flee be tha Brute Squad

Brujo from the hot south whose ma were burned for a Bruja
His Greatsword cleaves his enemies almost in two
They run when he spits blood and screams “Hijo de punta”
Though they not know its meaning any more than I do

Aires be tha’ Rager who jumps into tha’ fray
He screams and howls t’ break tha’ enemies’ muster
They seem to piss themselves as often as they run away
Even when he loses his Ax in a ruster

Flynn be tha’ singer who is most truly your own
He thinks his gigs make him popular wit’ tha’ ladies
With his blood up, his Shillelagh crushes bones
And sends all who face him to Hades.

Tha one o' little words makes this quartet complete
Zodloff be tha name that he be known
He's one bald, mean Rashemi piece o' meat
He knocked tha Goblin King clear off his throne

So be ye goblin or rat or imp no matter
These four will chase ye ta yer grave
Yer bones will break and yer blood will splatter
And yer bowels will tell ye not be brave

There be a new song echoing tha’ walls under tha’ city
A song o’ blood n’ death sung by the weapons of this quad
Their foes are slain without remorse or pity
Tha’ party they all flee be tha Brute Squad

Tha’ party they all flee be tha Brute Squad !

Jesters grin by Wren Bluefeather

Jesters grin
by Wren Bluefeather

Tears that fall like rain
But only in the dark
All the unspoken pain
Left in a shattered heart

Just Smile through it all
Laugh and dance and sing
Don’t let them see the tears that fall
They won’t suspect a thing

The walls you build will keep you safe
From heartbreak, loss and fear
Stay within , behind that face
Don’t let them see the tears

Play your song and let them dance
Sway them with the lute
Drink and sing in merry trance
They’ll never know the truth

They don’t want to see Beneath
The shadows deep and dark
They don’t care that hearts still bleed
Once they’re torn apart

They’ll never know the lies you tell
Nor the gaping hole within
Just keep smiling and all is well
Just hold the jesters grin.

Shadow Hunter By Ashale’n Dervise

Post by jmecha »

Shadow Hunter
by Ashale’n Dervise

Stalking Hunters for the sport,
Watching, for it’s death they court.
Who will be the next to fall
Will the Shadow get them all?

Now the Bride is lying dead,
Life from Her the Shadow bled.
No more slavers will she kill,
But the Shadows hunting still.

Searching for the Huntress, bold
She who dared to take their gold.
Quietly the Shadow waits,
For the one that Drow hates.

Boldly forth, to meet her foe,
No longer is she hiding low.
The Huntress does the Shadow meet,
But quicker still is Shadows feet.

The Huntress breaths her last with pride,
Now She’s gone to join the Bride.
Battles done and now, a earned rest ,
Their deeds are done, they passed the test.
