Jared is new in the area of the Adventurer's Quarter and hopes his services will benefit many.

As a gesture of good faith, Jared would like to report witnessing the assassination of one elven person named Toliv. His entrails were spilled all over the street by a dark cloaked short person while his companions lamented of his loss coiling up said entrails and carrying away the body.

Murgen enters the SafeHaven looking haggard and a bit more subdued than usual. He looks around intently, but apparently sees nobody he recognizes, so he turns to the board and scans it for anything new.

Seeing "Jared's" note, he reads it, clenches his fists and says loudly enough to be heard, if not understood, "Ach, I were one o 'em friens. Set upon inna streets jes out tha doors we were, wi'in sight o tha watch buildin. 'twere more 'en tha one tha done fer 'im, were like tae be a army. Comin in waves. I'll nae sell yae slag fer gold, Ima 'pletely from tha swamps as tae whys tha sergeant were set 'pon, but 'tis time fer all o us tae bite tha molar. There's nae been a unscarred 'ero."

Murgen rips takes a copy down, muttering, "Ne'er know when a sword fer 'ire be useful," and tucks it away.

Taking pains to make sure that he is not followed by taking a cart to the Sea Ward and visiting the temple of Lathender where he asks again about word of Avendur Blackwood and then walking to the market where he browses the wares in the dwarves smithy and buys food at one of the stalls, Murgen looks for a waif to give the copy to and gives him 5 gold to slip the note under a door in the dock ward.
