Ge'ish Ahmaquissar

Post by Fionn »

Gyll'dha Ahmaquissar of Cormanthyr, like many of House Ahmaquissar, was a wanderer and a rake. She would settle for a year or two, then take her pipes out into the world for decades at a time. Often alone, she took up with a young Silverspear Wizard named Zabbas to roam the sword coast around 1260 DR. Preferring the wilds and the company of the uncivilized, they roamed from Anauroch west to the High Moor and south to the Sunset Mountains. In the spring of 1264 DR Ge'ish was born on the edge of the Forest of Wyrms near Boareskyr Bridge. It was a hard birth, and Gyll'dha spent the summer recovering.

In the late summer, Zabbas failed to return from a hunting trip. Gyll'dha was despondent, playing dirges for days on end. With their food stores running low, she realized the time had come to move on. Unable to face her family, let alone the Silverspear's, she fled northward to the High Forest. Still beset by wanderlust, she no longer felt the joy in the road. While the Elves retreated, she traveled aimlessly along the Unicorn run teaching her young daughter to survive in her bleak world.

Growing increasingly bitter, she taught Ge'ish of loss and isolation. It was during this time she came to focus her faith upon Fenmarel Mestarine 'The Lone Wolf'. By the time Ge'ish had mastered bow and blade, her mother had become both withdrawn and reckless at turns. Ge'ish learned the dangers of trust and dependance well. Ge'ish valued the skills she learned, but found her mother increasingly less useful. She ultimately decided bow and blade were not enough, and she hated her mother's mournful piping. With a quick prayer to Fenmarel, she gathered her things and headed West; she arrived in Waterdeep to learn her father's Art in 1384 DR.
